Makes really slick shadow foam inserts when paired with a laser cutter...
Although the black layer isn't as thick as other types of kaizen foam, I prefer this for most tool drawers because it just comes out perfect when cut with a laser. You can use an app such as ToolKaiser to photograph your tools, convert them to outlines, and nest them together. Then use a laser to cut an entire drawer in one step. This foam cuts perfectly & has just the right amount of "give" to hold tools snug. For larger tools i've cut sections from two pieces of black and layered them on top of themselves to double the thickness. The red under layer is a good thickness too - thin enough to not take up a lot of drawer height, but thick enough to cushion most tools. It is not the least expensive option, but it produces a perfect result...

Nice for
Nice EVA foam and at a good price. I used it for shadow foaming, after I traced the tools by scratching, I used a scroll saw to cut it out. Works nicely!

Best foam type for tool boxes
Easy to cut straight, dense foam allows precision cutouts, best value and product I have found for 5S tool organization.

Very nice
This foam is very nice and easily cut for tool insertion with either a razor blade or a drimel with a router bit. The only thing is to stick the two pieces of foam together before cutting. It’s almost impossible to peel and stick afterwards.

WOW WHAT A DEAL!!!
Easy to cut...I used my trim router so it looks like it has been done with CNC technology.....amazon Solid Carbide CNC Foam Cutting Down-Cut Square End Spiral 1/8 Dia....but harbor freight tools are cheaper, Solid Brass Router Inlay Kit with Bits.....practice cutting inside the line of your pattern for a tight fit or you can just use an exacto blade, whichever you feel more comfortable using....any how great foam set and nice price...
