Direct and practical
I really liked this book because it goes straight to the point. The author doesn't beat around the bush, she presents the topics clearly with great precision and practicality. The elements (the tables) she provides are excellent resources (and extremely simple). This shows that change is essentially a process of connection, it is not an instrumental process. Therefore, the author shows that with simple tools, but with a deep sensitivity towards the stakeholders, it is possible to address the transformation. Simple, direct and very powerful. I really liked the model, it is totally accessible to implement in any type of organization.

Practical Guide towards Change Management
Barb explains it well in this book if you have been tasked to take on a change management role and need an introduction to what it is about. I particularly like the stakeholder mapping and the exercise to list what motivates each stakeholder to be FOR and NOT for the change. Listing it out and asking the right questions improves communication efficiency as one would clearly understand how to approach the person in question.

Hands down one of the best change management books out there
Change management is a big topic, with many different ways of approaching it. This book does not attempt to cover them all, but instead allows some of the harder areas, like "resistance" and the need to read culture (and how to do it), to be drilled down into with advice and examples rarely covered elsewhere which are worth their weight in gold. There is something to add value to even the most experienced change manager's kit bag of tools, magic tricks and points of reflection on every page. Can not recommend more highly.

Refreshingly real approach to Change Management
A no-nonsense step-by-step guide for business change managers of all levels. This book cuts right to the chase and doesn't bother with the fluffy stuff. There are plenty of books in the change space that are big on the theory and the high concepts. However, there's not many that just get down to it and tell it like it is when you're on the ground. This one does. There's heaps of practical tools in here that are easily used on the job. It's about getting no-fuss no-drama runs on the board that will really make a difference.Doing change work is very busy and demanding. I've been a practitioner for many years, so I know you want practical tools and templates that will really work and people can understand. I found plenty in this book I can use and share with my teams. Chapter four on building change impact assessments was a good meaty chapter and Chapter 10 on how to identify and enlist your business as usual owners had some fresh insights on how to work with evolving organisations, who often have messy organisational structures.The chapter about behavioural change was refreshingly practical and gave some real insights into how it's done from someone who's obviously done the hard yards. I loved that the book was packed with real-life stories and examples from the author's extensive change experience and the Change Cat character and cartoons made it a really fun and engaging read.I would recommend this book to practitioners at all levels and will use it in my team. I would also recommend it other business roles who are involved in Change (that's us all isn't it? :-) )
