For early season hunting (particularly in Texas) the face fabric is a little bit hot. If they had to err on the side of temperature or durability, they chose durability. Later in the season, it won't matter, but you will get a little hot early season. As for the fit, I found it to be a little blousy. Over a t shirt, it's going to be roomy; but with a jacket, it's going to be perfect. All of my Sitka gear is XL, and I ordered the same for this vest. I'd recommend ordering whatever size the rest of your kit is - I'm 6' 225lbs, and XL works for me.
