Great product!
I can’t believe this does DPF regens based on the size with user friendliness. Very easy to use with simple instructions to load on your iPhone or Android. The price is a great deal if needing a scan tool to view fault codes. I connected to 2 trucks and viewed all of the vehicle data. I would highly recommend this scan tool for OTR drivers and any road techs looking for a simple to use scanner for fault codes and forcing regens. Definitely worth the investment on purchasing 1, 2 or even more for fleet drivers who throw codes while traveling the highways. Diesel Laptops has some truly amazing products.....

THEY CHANGED TERMS NOW IT'S PAY AS YOU GO , SO SAY NO!
Bought my 1st unit in February 2024 . No problems and liked the fact it would fit in my glove box vs a 12k scanner left in the back seat , I used it to regen all my Trucks in my Fleet as a maintenance to keep trucks from having issues when out on the road . The company decided to get greedy and now wants me to PAY 29.00 every month I use this feature as it's Bi Directional . I still today don't see where it STATES on Amazon you will with PAY EXTRA to use this unit. So I CANNOT in Good Faith recommend this unit as it will cost much more to use than the unit it self at 29.99 a month SUBSRIPTION NOT LISTED ON AMAZON AT THIS TIME OR WHEN PURCHASES WERE MADE. At 360 a year just use that money to buy a better scanner that doesn't require a SUB! They state:Continuous Enhancement - Benefit from direct feature additions and updates via the app, our heavy duty truck scanner will continue to have functionality added over time. This removes the hassle of lengthy update processes and the financial strain of renewing costly diagnostic gear. WELL AT 360 A YEAR I CONSIDER A FINANCIAL STRAIN!!!

Reliably did Regens on several brands of Class 8 trucks
I’m a Diesel Fleet Mechanic and bought this to play with it and see how it goes. I’ll do a thorough review on My Youtube channel: The Middle Class MechanicWhat I like:-It did start regens on the various trucks/engines I tried it on. (A26, DD13, D13, ISB 6.7, X15)I only ever ran one regen to completion and it never gave a prompt or info about the regen, the truck just stopped regeneration and thats how I knew it was completed an hour and change later. I message would be nice at least.-It’s super small and easy to store. Included OBD2 for Volvo/Mack is essential and a good touch. It’s so small, I’ve almost left it in trucks multiple times.-DTC codes pop up quick and easy and in most cases can be cleared as well.-Hooks right up to your cell phone. It is fairly easy to use and ties together nicely with the Diesel Laptops website for troubleshooting and other helpful things. (Some of those features also require a subscription.)What I don’t like:-The live data doesn’t seem to be very current. You almost need to back in and out of menus to see a change in temperatures or pressures. At one point I watched an exhaust temp not change at all for minutes, so thats not very useful.-The data also has things like “11 state” or numbers and values that don’t really explain what anything means.-Some “live data” like pedal position sensor wouldn’t function for me, or at least I think it won’t, maybe user error. I could bring up all relevant data for brake pedal position and when I press the pedal, no live data changes, as it should. Again, maybe I wasn’t looking in the right area? Seems off to me.-You have to pay $30/month after your free trail ends. The conclusion is that it’s an easy and affordable way to regen your truck without having to spend thousands on a laptop and dealership programs or even worse a tow truck if you’re a driver. I have little doubt that it wont regen anything it says it will. It’s fine for reading and clearing codes, and that seems to be free. If you’re a truck driver that just needs an emergency regen, I think this is a cost effective way to maybe avoid a tow truck or worse.

Small but hoping for more.
I have 2 trucks and IT doesn’t recognize my vin numbers, but it will scan codes and help you understand what’s going on.

2020 EPA17 Paccar
It works to clear codes but could not figure out how to do a forced regen I guess it’s still in Beta testing like it says

Great tool for the money
I am a business owner. I purchased this device to test it out. Here is what a trusted diesel tech told me about his experience with it:“I got the app on my iPhone and plugged it in. Connected in the app and away I went. I could read and clear codes and even look up how to fix my problem. I was very surprised to see a tool like this to have options to do regens and a few resets. Honestly I wasn’t expecting much for its cost but I was wrong! It does exactly what it says. Highly recommend purchasing one!”

Expensive backend fees
Returned the product, although it worked as long as you bought their exorbitant subscriptions subsequent to using the product to about $100 a month

Speedy and Convenient!
I was able to connect to a 2020 International and with in minutes I was able to scan over 200 items on the truck. After the scan was completed I was able to view inactive and active fault codes, live data, VIN information and much more. My favorite feature was the quick access to obtain repair information including fault code look up and wiring diagrams.Overall the Diesel Decoder App is very easy to navigate as well.
