Awesome little tool
It works great. I can remove the old filter, pre-fill the new filter and install all without making a mess. There was no way to do that before. The little "T" handle on top makes it easy to handle the filter while getting it in or out of the tight space between the frame and the AC lines on my 2018 RAM pickup. There are other tools similar to this on the market. I don't know how this one compares to those. Some of them are made of billet aluminum, but this one is made from a hard, plastic-like material. It was a lot less expensive than some of the others.

Great product! Life saver
This thing is great. I work in a shop and I keep one there and one at home where I have two 2014 models. It was awful when changing oil before there was no way to do it without making a mess all over the truck to have to clean up and also was no way to fill the new filter up with new oil before installing without dumping half of it out putting it in. This thing makes life so much easier for me since I am frequently changing oil in these trucks. Works great leaves no mess to clean up maybe the best 10$ I’ve spent in quite awhile I 100% recommend getting one of these to anyone who is ever needing to change oil in a 2013.5-present model dodge heavy duty pickup with the 6.7 cummins engine.

Dont try changing your Cummins oil without this!
Bought my first Cummins Ram. When it was time to change the oil I watched You Tube videos on how to do it. (Much more complicated then I thought it would be) . Every video I watched said to not try the Oil Filter change without this tool. Now I know why. The Oil filter is tough to get to through the Passenger side front wheel well, and then it is difficult to reach it to loosen and remove. But, to remove it from the truck you have to tip it 90*s and pull it out. If it wasn't for this tool there would have been oil everywhere. Better yet, once this plug is screwed into the oil filter to seal it, the thing becomes a great handle to control the filter on it's way out. Absolutely recommend this to anyone doing a Cummins oil change. It is definitely worth it's weight in gold just because it contains the oil and prevents the clean up that would follow after pulling the filter out without it. Good purchase!

Perfect tool for the job, made the oil change go smoothly
This item is of good quality and simple to use. It screwed into the old filter just fine. I did not have to put anything under the filter, after unscrewing it, just sitting it on its bottom against something inside the engine bay. Since there was not enough space to get two hands in the work area, I had to screw this item on with one hand. It was not a problem. I pulled the sealed, old oil filter right out, cleaned the old oil off and transferred the tool to the new filter, after filling it up with oil and placed the new filter back through the port hole. I was again able to unscrew the tool with one hand and now oil was spilled. This tool made it too 'easy'! The plastic feels like good quality stuff. There is a slight texture to the item, so when oil is on it, it is not too slick. Good product for the price. -I took a paint pen and marked "RAM" on the top, just so I'd not forget what vehicle it went with.

Worth the Money in Time Savings
I drive a Ram pickup with the Cummins 6.7L. So, on that truck, you can replace the oil filter through the RF wheel well but you have to pull it out sideways. Or, to avoid making a mess, you can pull the intake hose and pull the filter straight up out through the top. OR you can buy the Lisle oil filter plug and pull your filter out sideways through the wheel well without making a mess, and it's a lot quicker. You just lower the filter vertically, screw the plug/handle gently into the filter, and pull it out sideways with no mess. Handy-dandy little tool!

Worked but just barely seats on the filter gasket
I'd give 5 stars but it's obvious this thing is built to the closest it could be before it leaks all over. When you screw this to the top of a Ram Cummins 6.7 oil filter, it BARELY comes in contact with the seal on the filter. Seriously, if this was 1/8" bigger in diameter, it would seem safer. While mine did not leak, there is quite the suspense when you tilt it with this thing on. If you drop it, I would have to think it will leak. It's that little coverage over the seal on the filter by this tool. Look at my picture. You can see how much gasket is exposed. Worked as expected, but why make it that small?

Must Have
Must have for 6.7 oil changes. Keeps ya clean and makes the whole oil change process so nice. Built good and seals well on filters.

perfect for changing your own oil. Dodge in there infinite wisdom decided that changing the oil is a one handed job, a small hand, so this tool did the trick to not spill the old used oil or the new fresh oil, but I will get another so I can have one for old oil & one for new. Its a little pricey for a piece of plastic but it did its job.

Worked perfectly. Didn't spill a drop of oil in the engine bay or on the suspension when changing oil in my 2018 Ram 3500. Came in through the right wheel well and put some rags below the filter to catch it when it came loose.

Keep that oil in the filter instead of on your driveway. Does the trick! The right tool for the job!
