A lot of bang for your buck.
As a musician, producer and mobile DJ, I was pleasantly surprised with the Phenyx Pro PDP-1 Wireless Microphone System. Phenyx Pro has been my secret go to for wireless mic since I started my mobile karaoke business coming out of the pandemic. With the abuse a microphone can take during an evening of karaoke it was clear to me that I did not want to use my high-end wireless mics but did not want to sacrifice on quality. I had tried a couple of other less expensive wireless mics but had not been happy with the quality until I came across Phenyx Pro. From the very first night I used them for karaoke to this day I have been nothing but impressed with their quality, especially at their very reasonable price point. The Phenyx Pro PDP-1 Wireless Microphone System is an absolute game-changer for anyone looking for reliable, high-quality wireless mic performance without breaking the bank.Firstly, the sound quality is outstanding. The transmitter plugs In to your mixer with a 1/4” TRS cable, a 1/4 to 3.5mm adapter is included, and has a charging port (usb-c,) a power button and led indicator. There is also a 1/4” to 1/4” right angle adapter so that when you plug the transmitter into the back of the mixer you are still able to have the antenna pointed up to improve your quality and maximize you range. The clarity and range of this microphone is exceptional, delivering crisp vocals and eliminating any interference or dropout issues, even in a crowded venue, maintaining professional sound during live events.Secondly, the build quality is impressive. The microphones feel sturdy and well-made, which is essential for equipment that's frequently on the move. The system is also straightforward to set up and use, making it ideal for both beginners and professionals.Next, the range is exceptional. I was able to use the microphone at over 100 ft away from the transmitter with zero loss of quality or dropouts within line of sight. I was also able to use it at a shorter distance with line of sight partially obscured.Overall, the Phenyx Pro PDP-1 Wireless Microphone System has exceeded my expectations. It's a fantastic investment for karaoke, wedding DJ’s, event planners, and anyone else who relies on top-notch wireless audio. I highly recommend it for its exceptional sound quality, durability, ease of use, and overall value for money.Kevin D GrayDJ, Musician and Producer

Quality Sound with a good price!
This mic for what it is, has great sound and great features. For $40 this mic has a lot to offer and at the same time it lacks a lot as well. I work for a church as the sound engineer and our services bring in around 500+ people, so you can imagine that we need reliable equipment. I run Senheiser and Shure mics which are upwards of $700+ so comparing the Phenyx mic to those I mentioned is not fair. But I will be honest with my review keeping in mind the price point. The Phenyx mic looks like the Shure Betta58 mic with the round capsule which is what I really like. The build is sturdy. I believe it's aluminum or some other light metal. The capsule is also metal. The screen on the mic is pretty bright and easy to read. Twisting the sleeve for the battery compartment is really smooth, the threads don't feel rough. The mic has a good weight and doesn't feel cheap. The transmitter or the bottom of the mic is plastic. It does feel cheap and I feel that with time it will crack or if it's dropped from a good height it will crack. Im not too confident it will last. Now to get to the receiver. The receiver is really small. To turn on/off the receiver is a round button. The build of the receiver is also built with a light metal. I like that you can use a USB C charger to charge the unit. The unit feels like it'll last a good while. Now to the sound quality and connectivity. When I put the 2AA batteries in the mic and turned on the mic and turned on the receiver, the connection was instant. I liked that I didn't have to search for channels or hit a sync button to connect the units.I connected the receiver to the stage box on stage and did a sound test. I eq'd the mic and got it up and running for our Sunday service. The sound was really good and clear and the range stated on the box was 200ft which I believe to be true. I walked with the mic to the mixer room which is about 100ft from the receiver with no drops or interference.Cons':The capsule is very fragile and the polar pattern picks up everything. It can be a problem at times. I'm not sure what the SPL is on the mic is because it was not listed anywhere but I can imagine is low because it'll distort with enough pressure. It'll really pick up the plosives so knowing how to cut that with eq and compression is a must. I know the Phenyx doesn't offer a rechargeable option for the mic, but if they did, I think that would be a huge selling point for their products. swapping the batteries every week can be a hassle and its just bad for the environment. Other than that I have no other complaints for this unit considering the $40 price point.Overall great mic. Great price. Easy to use. Reliable. Great sound.

Impressive performance for a budget wireless microphone!
The media could not be loaded. I wasn’t expecting much from a $30 wireless mic. But right out of the box I was pretty impressed. Great looking mic. Lightweight metal body. Impressed that it had 15 channels. Great for when you run into interference. Very simple to use.. My voice was loud and clear. A bit bass heavy but a little EQ would fix that. I might have included a mic clip. Overall this is pretty outstanding considering what you’re getting for the price. An ideal mic for DJs and karaoke and singers wanting a budget wireless microphone. I would definitely get another one.
