The new moon is bright
To begin, Sailor Moon Crystal season 3 is the adaption of the manga arc called Infinity, which introduces the new enemy along with Sailor Uranus, Sailor Neptune and Sailor Saturn. The animation is better compared to the lanky one of the first two seasons that the fans seemed to hate with a passion (fandoms can get rough with opinions). The story compared to the 90's version is a lot darker and the stakes are higher with much needed depth for the lore. This is pretty straightforward episode wise as it completes the season in one go, no "2nd part" like in the Sailor Moon S season set.Granted it depends on what version of Sailor Moon you like, personally I still have love for the 90's version with the newly adapted voices and being uncut is cool however I can say Sailor Moon Crystal is hardcore. Yes, it does seem it rushed with the Senshi not really bonding full frontal compared to their previous incarnation of anime but it is there, I guess you just have to assume they do the bonding stuff between episodes.Music is good for the opening as you go through the episodes different singers sing it which sounds amazing. The most important is the first ending song for four episodes "Eternal Eternity" sung by Sailor Uranus and Neptune, the visuals are very good and the song is top notch. The 2nd theme is sung by Chibi Usa which is cute and uplifting and the third song, for all the fan girls, is sung by Tuxedo Mask!I have to say that song is the bees knees! By that song I put Tuxedo Mask as a cool male figure (he does more in this incarnation compared to the 90's").Bad guys have more depth to them and even Master Pharaoh 90 makes an appearance and not as some blob of energy.Overall an awesome season! I'd say if you want a clean cut version of wanting to get a story over with and not wanting to do the Sailor Moon S season filled with monsters of the day, this version is for you.

Wonderful comeback!
I am keeping mine sealed for now, but I have watched this series on Hulu in both languages and loved it.Seasons 1-2 were a confusing mess. As a huge fan of Sailor Moon I found them mediocre and a bad way to introduce the series to new fans. If Crystal 1-2 had been my first experience with anime, I'd have never been hooked. That said, I do enjoy the first two seasons, simply as a fan and I can do so while acknowledging their flaws. It was a nice experiment trying to match the manga style, but it failed with the low budget that Toei was willing to put into possibly one of their top three biggest international hits ever. It came across as a mishmash of bizarre choices. They sought to fix this with season 3 and for the most part succeeded. This season has it's flaws, but it overall has a better flow and design. The animation has been simplified in a way that makes it move better while still retaining a beautiful aesthetic! It's slightly too "Precurish" in design, but it works for me.Story is tightened up and back in line with the manga, whereas season 1 trailed off with disastrous results. (seriously, why give us hope of a new arc for the Four Kings and then shatter it in such a rushed way?)One of the biggest fixes is they did away with the embarrassing CG transformation scenes and went to a more traditional 2D style with new flourishes. The new transformations are not perfect, but they are fluid and beautiful to watch. (even if you do have to watch them a bit too often). The exception is the transformation scenes for Haruka and Michiru which have basically just been tarced from the 90's versions and look lower quality. One day I'd like to see a new Sailor Moon adaptation with some meat on its bones. All filler isn't bad and this series could use some character development and story expansion. But until then, this is not half bad.

Sailor Moon Season 3
This is the third season also known as the infinity arc of sailor moon adapted from the Manga! The animation has changed from the first 2 season if my opinion for the better. The only thing I wish this product would have came with is a cover for the DvD like the first season I have did. The second season didn't come with one either.

Great dub, great fight scenes, great transformations!
I loved the emotion that the dub cast put into crystal as a whole, I only wish they could do the same in the 90's redub but it seems like the director is making them hold back which both works yet hurts it. Overall worth the price with such vibrant colors and detailed animation, especially if you're watching this on a 4k tv. The story follows the manga version of the S arc but unfortunately cuts out content like the side arcs which I feel has really hurt the show. It's great that Crystal is more story oriented but even the source material had some room for it to breathe with character building filler. My other complaint would be for the lackluster transformation music but it can't be helped. I just hope now that season 4 will be worth the price once it's released.
