Official 360 CAM LG-R105 Compact Spherical Camera for LG G5

This camera is pretty amazing for its size. The only downside that I can see is the lack of a concise set of instructions. When I worked out how it all works, then life became fairly simple and straight forward and now I can connect to wi fi and Blu Tooth with no dramas on my Iphone SE and Ipad. Highly recommended.

This camera should not be sold at this time 2021, the app and software has been discontinued by LG . Message on LG Website " We express a sincere gratitude for your patronage to LG 360 CAM Manager Service. Due to changes in our operation policies, LG 360 CAM Manager Service via mobile applications will be terminated as of June 20, 2020 " . Also on PC the LG App needs constant update , from websites which are totally unsecure, I know cause I have tried it . DONT BUY , you have been warned . If I could I would gave it NO STAR RATING !!

Great camera. Let down by a few issues: Copying videos to the mobile via its wifi is long and painful. Desktop software is ok but could be better. When plugged to a Mac, the camera storage (Micro SD) can not be viewed. It's like the old Nokia's that needed a driver for the cable, apart from even after hours and using 3 different Macs, I couldn't get LG's bridge software to work. So I purchased a Micro SD to USB adapter. Quality is good for the price, images and videos aren't the best but for 360 on the move, it's more than acceptable.

What I like with LG 360 camera is the design and portability. It is very easy to carry. The cover can be used as a stand on any flat surface. You can attach a tripod. The buttons are straight forward to use between photo and video with audio. Things that I'm not too happy with are: Battery - not good for long use. But with a help of power banks your good. Wireless connection - it can be a bit challenging most of the time connecting to Bluetooth and wireless connectivity to control the camera via the LG 360 app either IOS or Android. You may view all the videos and photos but transferring wirelessly can be frustrating most of the time due to poor connection even the phone is near the camera. To avoid hassle better remove the sd card and just transfer it via cable or sd card reader. Well of course you can be lucky enough to be connected and do it wirelessly. Photo quality - most of the time you can clearly see the line connecting each side of the photos. It's not perfectly stitched together. Otherwise this little gadget is good enough for personal and basic use.

The app doesnt work reliably at at all. To connect to your phone is a laborious process which often needs repeating constantly. The photo quality is Ok at best but bad in low light. Would not recommend.

Works, but don't believe the sample videos / pictures you can find online. This content this creates is incredibly low res and more importantly, BLURRY when viewed in VR. It's really like one of the terrible first generation 640x480 first generation webcams. If you remember those, you'll also remember that mobile photography never really took off until we got past those rubbish things. Go with a 4k device from a better manufacturer, even if you have to wait a while for it. This is NOT worth it.
