Keeps water cold
Keeps water pretty cool. I used this for marathon training and then the marathon. I would fill up the night before and then throw it in the fridge overnight. Water wasn’t ice cold the whole time but it was nice and cool. The first couple sips might be warm from the tube but after that it was really refreshing. I think if you add some ice it would keep the water really cold. Easy to clean. No issues with leaks. Glad I bought it.

Excellent Replacement for Nathan
My Nathan VaporAir came with a non-insulated bladder, which simply doesn’t cut it in the Texas heat or on day-long hikes in warm weather. I got a Nathan insulated reservoir, which was atrocious: nasty chemical taste that wouldn’t go away after many washes and soaks in baking soda; a terrible design meant to minimize sloshing (a non-existent issue if you fill your reservoir properly) but which made the reservoir very difficult to slide into the hydration vest; and a lining too rigid to pull the reservoir inside-out for cleaning. The Hydrapak bladder solves all those problems. The bladder keeps my water appropriately cool over an entire day in mild weather (although you’ll want to slide an ice pack between the bladder and your body on warm and hot days); it is fully reversible for cleaning; and I did not experience any chemical taste after the first use (I’d filled it with a baking-soda solution prior to first use as well). It pairs very well with the HydraFusion Insulated Tube, which actually kept my water much colder than the reservoir itself in mild weather (due to not being in contact with my body heat). My only wish would be for the reservoir to be slightly bigger. It hasn’t been an issue yet, but my original bladder was 1.8L, then 1.6L for the Nathan insulated bladder, and this one only 1.5L. It should be possible to design a 2L bladder that fits most hydration vests.

Premium hydration bladder for Camelbak Bootlegger
I got this as a replacement for a 1.5L camelbak bladder and this beats it by a lot. The slide opening at the top is very convenient and much better for cleaning. The hose is insulated like the bladder, both feel very durable. The bite valve is a little hard but I easily got used to it. This should last me a good long time hiking and mountain biking.

Broke after a few uses , not worth 50$. Very disappointed.

Must have for Texas running
It’s like a koozie for your hydration pack. This was a game changer purchase. I have the 1.5L and the 2L. Perfect for keeping water cold for hours with less ice.

Hot weather day hiking bladder
Good for short hikes in the heat to keep water in bladder cooler for longer. The opaque hose doesn't really provide a lot of insulation due to it's size. It does seem to be just as effective as the more common clear hoses with a neoprene sleeve at insulation, and I like it more than the sleeve as the sleeves will get caught on things and this hose doesn't do that. I have multiple packs and multiple bladders for different applications. I use this specifically for day hikes in the desert heat. I would not use this on a multi day trek. The extra weight isn't worth it if you don't have access to ice. The full slide opening is easy to open and close and allows for easy water & ice filling. Get a valve cover unless you like dirt flavored water. Would buy again.

Keeps water COLD for hours!!
I picked this up to fit in my Salomon vest. I liked the idea of this one better than the Salomon brand because of its insulated properties. It fit in my vest perfectly, but the best part is it kept my water ice cold for hours. I filled it up at 0500 in the morning for a 15 mile trail race. By the start of the race at 0700 it was already 80 degrees out with 90% humidity. I drank from my Solomon flasks first, but by 1000 I was hitting the bladder. I fully expected it to be warm, especially since it was against my back through the vest. But that water was still ICE COLD after hours and being against my hot back. Couldn't be happier with the purchase. I highly recommend this bladder.

I won't be going CamelBak
This seems much sturdier. Every Camelbak I've had inevitably starts to leak where the hose comes in. I haven't had this very long, but the construction on this seems less prone to issues. The foldy filling method is something I had to get used to, but it works to keep water in.

Best hydration bladder I've ever used
Efficient and Reliable Hydration Reservoir – Worth Every Penny I’ve used the 1.5L HydraPak Velocity IT just once so far, and plan to use for a 50 mile run across Snowdon, but it already impressed me. It kept my water cooler for longer than expected and operated without any fuss, very efficient. The sealing system on both the reservoir and the tube is excellent, preventing any leaks between sips. Overall, I’m very happy with this purchase and consider it well worth the investment.

Well Insulated Bladder
Have used this on some hot running days and keeps the water cool. Take note not to chew on the mouth piece too much, just a slight bite and the water flows fine.

Ottima sotto i 48º dì Luxor
