Clarke 36" Magnetic Sweeper

Fantastic tool. Paid for itself in the first sweep. I have a very large driveway covered in gravel and after going over with the magnetic sweeper it picked up over 100 small bits of metal, nails, screws and staples. Some look like they’ve been down for quite some time, others look fairly new. If you consider that just one of these could have been a puncture for me, friends or family then the tool has done it’s job and paid for itself in my opinion. There are some workmen doing renovations to our house at the moment and they’re all ordering one. They make a habit of sweeping around the skip and their vans every day now. Photo attached of just some of the bits picked up after just half the drive was swept.

Good product, easy to use and keeps you fit, picks up all Screws and Nails from our carpark reducing expensive tyre repairs.

First off it works well, no probs there. What I have got a problem with is the poor Chinese build quality, just about every nut is only finger tight nothing has been tightened up. It will need completely taking apart and retightening A good product but poor quantity control

It works and picks up a lot of metal objects that potentially damage tyres, so yes it's worth the money. Of course it will not pick up stainless screws pins etc. but less sharp objects is always a good thing

We’ve had builders around for a year now working on the roof. Once the main scaffolding came down I was reluctant to start using our gravel drive again for fear of punctures. I seriously considered a metal detector but then a reviewer somewhere mentioned a magnetic sweeper. Who knew? Well, 5 minutes later I’d placed an order. Our builders assured me they’d checked the drive carefully but one sweep with this thing pulled up a good 20 nails. I went up and down a couple of times and ended up getting a double handful of really old nails that you just couldn’t spot with the naked eye. I’m so glad I bought it. It’s a really clever design too and so easy to use. At first I thought I’d assembled it wrong because the handle seemed loose. Until I realised that’s so that you can lift the magnet away from the bottom of the box, allowing all the nails to fall off into a heap ready for the bin. Cannot recommend this highly enough. Great bit of kit. Love it!

Magnets fell off inside the metal frame after a months use

Happy with the purchase. Yes if the ground has bumps in it, it could bottom out but this can be used to your advantage to get it closer to the ground. The wheels and handles as other reviews point out are not the best but adequate for the task after all you will not be riding on it. I am more than happy with the result after one pass it picked what's shown in the picture and this was after I did a visual check the other day and picked up 15 screws. It's a part dirt part gravel drive.
