No need to buy more expensive…does the job

I ordered this last summer but it took so long to arrive that it missed the cherry season. I then used it for the first time today. It failed to remove the stone properly each time. Sometimes it moved the stone down to the bottom of the cherry but not out, and other times it missed the stone completely. It also fell apart twice during the process and had to be reassembled. This product is cheap, but still really not worth the price.

Not great quality but they do work!

The negative reviews are correct, it doesn't work properly. However it does work to a certain extent and, following another reviewer's helpful advice to shorten the "stabber" with a hacksaw, this did improve its performance. For the odd olive it works perfectly and seems to depend on the size and texture of the olive. All things considered, I must admit that for the price I'd rather have it than be without it. It does make the task somewhat easier and I wouldn't want to pay a heck of a lot more for one only to find out it wasn't any more effective than the cheaper version!

Worked perfectly to remove stones from 20 cherries quickly for breakfast.

I bought this as a cherry pitter, but the bowl on this tool is only big enough to take a small olive. Nowhere big enough for a cherry

This is the worst object I have ever purchased. Poor quality, it broke at first use. The handle broke easily, the cherry pit didn't go through the hole and the cherry didn't fit in the slot.I didn't rate how easy it was to clean because it went straight in the bin.Would NOT recommend!
