Great Golf Watch
I only wear it for Rounds of Golf. For that it is great! Some trouble manually entering puts, but that is more me than the watch. I have only played three rounds with it, but really enjoy the on course info, and tracking

Good watch
It works great but it misses a few shots a game.

Shotscope products used to be top notch
Been using shotscope since the V2 due to wonderful support and excellent product but as they've released many more products, the quality of the latest product X5 (3rd gen of V2) has really been so inconsistent. A "feature" that is so irritating is having to choose the second nine prior to tee off so that it knows where the first hole of the second nine is located (if your club has three nines). If you don't choose the second nine in a timely manner, it picks the first hole of the first nine and you can't edit it on the desktop/phone app.The charging plug comes off easily too. Battery life is good for 5 hours only.On the plus side, it does a good job of analyzing your game when the round is complete and their course preview feature is really helpful.

Terrible Product
I played an entire round of golf and the watch only recorded 31 Strokes, I wish I was that good. The screen is very dark and the watch did not pick up all the club tackers. So far it is a complete waste of money.

I wanted it to be great.
GPS functionality worked great, and measured distance accurately. It's a nice-looking watch with a big face. The band is backward if you wear it on your left hand but that's minor. After 3 rounds I could not get an accurate shot recording. At least 25-30% of holes had to be edited. It would not register the same club twice. I would gladly pay less money for the GPS part but it did not live up to the claimed features so at $300, I had to return it.

Too dark display - can only email customer support only
So typical reviews.....customers get on here and either rave or rage on products. I'm more on the rage side with this new Shot Scope X5 watch. I have purchased two and returned two. I have three major complaints: (1) Both of them had overly dark watch displays. There is no way to adjust the brightness, so you're stuck with what you get. I could barely see the screen indoors, let alone try to possibly navigate this watch under sunlight. And in order to save on battery life (which I'm ok on), the display sorta kinda times out after 15 or so seconds and goes even darker. Honestly, I had no idea if the watch had powered off or powered down.....it got that dark (indoors!!!). (b) You cannot change or you're supposed to NOT change the watchband. If I cannot swap out the watchband for a band that I prefer, I can live with that. But NO - you supposed to not even switch the tongue and the buckle parts of the band. Buyer Beware: the watchband comes to you as a right-handed watch......if you wear the watch on your left wrist (like 90% of the world), the buckle will be facing down (not the tongue side of the band).....basically opposite of the watchband that you are wearing right now. As per Shot Scope, you're not supposed to remove their watchband and flip it around which means for 90% of us, you simply have to get use to removing and clasping this watch in an opposite manner that you normally do with your watch. As per Shot Scope, their golf club tag tracking system is built-into the watchband. Guess what? You need to build your RFD tracking in your watch......not the watchband itself. At $300, most of us will want to swap out manufacturer standard watchbands for something that they like and find more comfortable. (c) Last complaint and this is always a major one for me: no phone number customer service. You basically can only communicate with the company via their website email service. To me, that's always a bad sign that a company does not commit themselves to super great customer service or support. And the various emails back-n-forth have always been poor and not very clear. Lack of live, human customer support also gives me the sign that a company could be very, very small. Economically, this means that I fear that they may not be around for years and years and years. BUYERS: just be aware of what you're getting and be very, very careful of all of the product reviews out on YouTube. Almost of them get free merchandise from the manufacturer to test and review. Those channels are not going to crap on someone's golf products because they will not get free stuff the next time. These channels may not directly paid, but they are getting alot of free stuff to review. From all of the YouTube channels that I saw on this X5 watch (before I bought one), the screen look ok and the display looked plenty bright enough to use. So unless I received two back-to-back defective watches (which I seriously doubt), this watch face simply does not get bright enough to practically use. Screen brightness in a watch is not a firmware or software update, so don't think that this feature will be upgraded and pushed in a firmware update months later.....it cannot be. Screen brightness and display quality is 100% hardware based. Good luck. Shot Scope (if you're listening), if you think I possibly received two back-to-back defective X5 watches, please feel free to contact me thru Amazon. I'll be happy to change and delete this review if you step up and provide a better watch.

great when it is working
Tracks shots great, easy to read the display(even in the sunlight), battery life drops to 40% after playing 4.5 hrs. A lot of nice features, a very useful watch, especially when you download your shots to the app. I was very impressed with it until it stopped working during the middle of a round. Now it just cycles through the hard reset over and over again. I am going to return it and try it again.
