Kevlar Thread: This is the same material that is used in bullet proof vests. Also labeled "Super Thread", Kevlar has a working strength of 8 lbs. You can't beat it for "Glow Bugs", spinning hair or big saltwater patterns. 50 Yard Spool.

Dang this stuff is strong
Not cheap, but the thread I like to use when re sewing buttons on jeans. The thread will not tear, if you get it tied good, it will take a chunk out of your jeans before the thread will break.

Strong!
This is a great thread. I discovered that this is a kevlar TEX 120 thread with a diameter of 0.014 in. (0.35mm) and a tensile strength of 45 lbs.

Great for repairs
I use it for clothing repair. I had US Airforce uniform shirts that were sewn with kevlar and they lasted 30 years until they were see through

Great Thread
I use the thread to hang pieces of crystal and sew heavy duty fabric that is always under stress.

Kevlar Thread
I purchased this to use in repairing tears in hunting and outdoor clothing (and to replace the factory buttons with always seem to come off after a few washings). The thread is very strong and the price was right for something that can, at times, be indispensable.

Pretty thread, really durable, shiny
If the qualities described in my title above is what you are looking for, you got it with this product. The thread is thin, but very tough. Tough to even cut it with scissors. Color is brown, with a copper-ish tinge when it reflects light.I actually ordered this to tie plants onto driftwood in my aquarium, thinking that the brown color would blend into the driftwood color... however, I learned that this thread is reflective and actually shows up quite a lot under water. Probably a great thing if you were to actually make fly out of this thread, but didn't quite work as well as I hoped for my purpose. It IS durable though... while cotton threads dissolve in water over time and nylon clear beading/sewing threads eventually stretch and break from absorbing water, abrasion, or shrimp/fish nipping on them, this thread being made from kevlar has completely held up.I am thinking of maybe giving the thread to my father in law who actually does fly fishing as a hobby to see if he can make a better use of this thread though as I think I will stick with green/clear fishlines for my aquarium use.
