I bought this for my 95-year old mother to use, and she loves it! Keeps it right next to her chair. It covers a large area, is *lightweight* (critical for our elders), easy to turn off & on, and it doesn't make you dizzy to read what's being magnified. She uses it to read her medicine bottles as well as any small type in articles & newsletters. I think having a battery instead of having to recharge it is simplier. It's so lightweight, too! (I have to mention again.)

Works fine, plenty of light. One star less because magnifying "glass" was plastic but that made it lighter to hold. My old glass one this big was heavy.

I like this device a lot. I can read small print and books more easily. Don't know how long it will last but is working great. Bought one for my purse and each room! Like it better than Eye Candy

Poor quality magnafication.

I have a variety of helpful hand held helpers. This ione if feather light and gives three choices of the light level and tone. Sometimes I need a stronger magnification but this one is the easiest on my arthritic hands.

This item was advertised as being glass. It’s plastic. False advertising for sure. Also the light in it only lasted a day or two and now blinks off and on. It’s a piece of junk. I wouldn’t buy it again.

I’m pleasantly surprised by this inexpensive solution to my reading problem. I’m a heavy reader, but due to health issues have been unable able to read for pleasure for several months.This little thing actually works for me. The light- particularly the different types of light for different environments- works nearly anywhere. The plastic lens doesn’t seem terribly sturdy, but so far it’s holding up. It tends to collect small scratches easily, but so far no little scratches are deep enough to cause any distortion. The lens itself is free of distortion.I have tremors and the long handle does not work for me, so I prop or hold it with the handle closed.Overall, I’m happy with this inexpensive purchase and would definitely buy it again.
