Great for Beginners
Ink quality is beautiful and the pen itself is gorgeous. It is very nicely weighted and writes well. This pen is perfect for those just getting into fountain pens as it is inexpensive and nice quality.

Decent pen
I do need to preface this review by saying this was my first fountain pen ever.I use this pen daily at work and it seems to works fine, though it does write a bit inconsistently. To be fair though not sure if this is due my inexperience with fountain pens rather than any true fault of the pen itself. I did not rinse the nib prior to initial use which I've since found is a thing that may have contributed to the inconsistent ink flow initially. Flow has continued to improve with my continued use so I do tend to attribute most writing issues with my inexperience. Additionally the feel of the pen varies quite a bit, sometimes gliding smooth as butter across the paper and other times feeling more like a rough pencil. Again this could be due my inexperience with fountain pens. The pen comes with two converters in addition to a few cartridges which was a nice surprise, though I'm still not sure of the differences between the two converters other than size, but maybe I'm missing something there. My only real criticism of the pen is the finish where you place your fingers gets all chipped up from the cap. I've been using the pen daily and it is initially a very sharp looking pen but it now has dings all over the metal finish making it much less attractive looking. It still looks pretty good with the cap on, though I've noticed the metal finish on the band had also begun to show signs of chipping.

Impressive
I’m an amateur calligrapher. This pen is not necessarily meant for that purpose. But. I am totally impressed with this thing. Cartridge popped right in. Started writing immediately. Even flow. Smooth. Doesn’t seem to leak (so far). Really nice pen under $20 bucks.

Leaked then wouldn't even write within 2 months
I loved the style of the pen and the first two refills went wonderfully. However, when refilling for the third time with the included ink cartridges it leaked all over my hand while refilling somehow. Then it wouldn't write. Assuming it was an issue with the cartridge I tried several others over the course of the next two weeks. I even left it sitting point down hoping it just needed time to fill and be ready to use, but no luck. It wouldn't write unless I shook it very hard which would of course splatter some ink spots, then it would write maybe a word or two before stopping. Beautiful pen, but unfortunately it did not last very long before it stopped working with the refill cartridges.

Absolutely thrilled!
I just received my Zalantan fountain pen, and am ever so pleasantly surprised. It has an elegant design, feels really good in my hand, and writes smoothly, with uninterrupted ink flow. I used to write exclusively with fountain pens, for many years and also used it for some of my art projects. Somehow, I fell out of the habit when life got really busy. Now as things have settled down, I want to enjoy quality time with a new pen, and this one surely is inspiring, without breaking the bank. > Tickled pink, and ready to play. :-)

Great Writing Pen / Craftsmanship not so great
This is a very smooth and great writing pen. Has good flow. The only problem I have is that you have to constantly take the cap on and off, (because the tip will dry out if you leave the cap off for too long) which is becoming an issue as the threads that connect the tip to the rest of the pen are wearing out quickly. The cap takes more force than necessary to snap on and pull off. When I take my cap off now, most the time, it pulls the tip completely off the rest of the pen without unscrewing.
