Tobar Magic Peacock, 27935

Bought for my nephew as I loved the tree versions when I was a kid and thought these illustrations were particularly cute. He has an interest in science, loves peacocks and purple and blue so it was ideal for him. He loved it and was fascinated watching the colours and fluffy crystals increase. Good way to get kids interested in science. Grew very full, like picture.

Flimsy and poor - get the Christmas tree ones instead

I was not as exited as I thought it would be. Especially it is had to use if your 10 years old has smaller sibling.

Really pretty and works exactly as it should. My 6year old adores it. We started it at 9am and by 3pm it had finished growing. Photo taken next day. It's very delicate once the crystals have grown but looks as though it will last if left alone. Will be buying other versions if this.

Unfortunately the items box was ripped and squashed, so had to be returned.The item was for a gift so could not give it in such a condition

I've waited to review this item until my nieces got around to doing them after getting them as presents for Christmas and I'm surprised by how quickly they've grown. Within hours of the gel being put into the base, the crystals had started growing just as shown in the picture.The bottom "branches" on either side of the peacock haven't started growing yet but the rest of the tail is a lovely rainbow of colour.

Great fun for kids to see it growing.
