I got these Lycopene capsules because Lycopene is a good anti-inflammatory which is supposed to be especially good for the prostate.The capsules arrived in a handy flat letterbox friendly container.I always appreciate when a supplement’s dosage is *per* capsule/tablet etc. This is the case with this lycopene supplement. The 15mg dosage in each capsule is quite good when you consider that tomatoes have up to ~7.5mg per 100g, at best. This depends on ripeness, variety etc. So, 15mg equates to ~200g high lycopene yielding fresh tomatoes or more, which is about 2 medium or 1 large. That’s a pretty good amount.This supplement should appeal to people who are tomato intolerant or simply don’t like fresh tomatoes.The capsules are about 20mm/0.8” and easy to swallow. They are relatively tasteless. I’ve been taking them for a couple of weeks and had no ill effects. Otherwise I would seek the benefits of lycopene by eating plenty of them. The benefit I most cherish is to my eyes. "As a dietary supplement, lycopene has been proven to mitigate the risk of developing eye diseases associated with old age" - NIH.I like that I only need to take one capsule a day, meaning that I have here two months' supply. I am surprised that Hellenia do not give this fact more prominence in their ad. Many supplement sellers seek to hide the fact that to get their recommended dose / serving (weasel words) you must swallow two, three or even four of their pills. Hellenia is a happy exception.I like that this supplement is made in the UK. It is unfortunate that the small print both on the ad. and the bottle is so very small as to be unreadable when it comes to the details of the contents.The flat white plastic bottle is surprisingly small and definitely letter-box friendly, but I would have preferred either glass with a metal lid or a re-sealable pouch, to protect both myself and our whole world from plastic pollution. Boosting my health with these capsules and at the same time perhaps poisoning myself with micro particles of plastic is not the best idea. And what will become of this plastic bottle in two months' time when the bottle is empty?

Each capsule provides 15mg of lycopene, while the tub recommends 1 capsule per day, at a cost of 25p/capsule.I take this because a number of clinical trials shows that tomato consumption, and in particular the lycopene, can have beneficial effects on the skin's ability to stave off sun damage.I take two of these per day through the summer and on holiday and, alongside sunscreen, I don't experience any reddening or burning of the skin.Through winter months and spring months like now, I take just one per day, because there's still UV raining down on us.I have been taking lycopene supplements for years, and prior to that I would consume a large amount of tomato paste each day during the summer months.I would highly recommend this to anyone as a little extra defense against UV related damage in addition to your normal sunscreen routine.

Strength of product in mg was unclear when I bought the product some months ago. I phoned Hellenia but they did not return my call as they promised. Looking at the latest product details the problem has been rectified and the mg is stated as 25 mg. Deliver, however, was fast.

This was really easy to take or keep on the shelf, as it's in a much slimmer box than the usual round containers. It’s easy to swallow—highly recommend for anyone to consume.

I like these capsules partly because the label on the back of the container is so informative.Reading the details of the "beadlet" nature of the powder and the change from using fermented lycopene to a natural tomato is interesting.I like the quality of the product overall including the clear to read instructions on the back of the container.The capsules are easy to swallow with no taste or aftertaste.The colour of the powder in the capsules is light red to pink and not a deep tomato red.Value for money wise I think these capsules are great because at the recommended dose of just one capsule a day these capsules will last me for three months.I would recommend these capsules.

Great low strength Lycopene supplement for ease of Prostate symptoms. It's fairly low strength so I usually double my dose to give my system a good hit. Easy to swallow and fairly taste free
