Quantitative Human Physiology

Solid foundation in introductory physiology
I think this is an excellent book and describes the physiology in a quantitative manner as the book title states. Yes, there's math involved and that's good for Biomedical Engineers, not a negative as the prior reviewer said. This helps us understand how the systems of the body function as they obey well known mathematical concepts we all learned (or were supposed to learn) in our freshman and sophomore undergrad classes in physics, mechanics, statics and 1st order differential equations (Calculus).I was an electronics engineer for a while, who switched to biomedical engineering, so the math in this book, though could at times puzzling, is welcome and I consider it the standard language for any engineer(Electrical, Mechanical, Civil etc).

Awful Textbook
HORRIBLE textbook. Please do not choose this as a curriculum if you are an educator. The book lists chapter objectives at the beginning of the chapter. OFTEN this is the only place in the book where that word shows up. The book gives waaaaaay too much technical information and thus all of the main points are missed. The problem sets send you off on a tedious search through the chapters, often one resorts to the internet for answers instead.
