Over time, all alcohol testers need to be calibrated to maintain accuracy, even police units. For BACtrack Mobile, we recommend getting it calibrated once a year, though it may continue to give accurate readings for longer than that. Can more than one person have the app / access to readings. e.g. for monitoring another person for interventions?

I bought the Bactrack breathalyser for my Husband for Christmas and it is compatible with iphone and android telephones.

I am getting a positive reading when I have not had any alcohol. Is this common or is my unit faulty?

Hi There, is not common at all. If it's a Vio, take off the battery and check if they still good. Low battery can make that mistake. In any case, reset the app doing this: hold the home button and lock screen button (for iphones) until the black screen with the white logo comes up. For android check how to reset.
