Maglite has definitely improved their LED torch design
Awesome LED torch. It's a "new" style of Maglite with a matte finish and a very long battery life combined with exceptional brightness, range and beam width. One button press activates "high power mode", two presses activates "mid power mode" and three presses activates "low power mode". With 3x "C" cells you get 611 lumens for 16 hours, 105 lumens for 42 hours or 30 lumens for 153 hours. The bezel throws out an exceptionally long range beam of light and a wide angle cone at the same time, but you can also adjust the beam angle further by turning the bezel - equally useful both indoors or outside in a rural setting. The only thing I would add would be a lanyard loop - for some reason Maglite don't seem to think people worry about dropping their torches! It's easily rectified with a cable-tie and an after-market lanyard though. I use NiMH "Ansmann" batteries in mine and they last for ages - the LED seems to be very well regulated to provide maximum brightness for as long as possible. The construction is excellent and very sturdy, easy to hold and a better grip pattern that the older style Maglites. Also the tail cap screw threads are better than before. There is a 3x "D" cell version that produces a slightly brighter light for slightly longer, but I like the 3x "C" cell version because it's smaller and lighter.

Lots of other brands but none that stand behind their products like mag light

Sehr heller, 3.stufiger, fokussierbarer Lichtkegel. Wirkt insgesamt stabil, mit Ausnahme des dünnen, zerbrechlich und billig wirkenden Frontglas. Sicher nicht für rauhe Outdoorbelastungen gemacht, Einsätze im Garten sind aber o.k.

Die Lampe ist sehr hell und alle Funktionen entsprechen meinen Erwartungen. Auch die Grösse ist ideal. Würde diese Taschenlampe ich wieder kaufen.
