Pelican 8QT Personal Cooler & Dry Box

I purchased this after my last lunch box finally fell apart. I read all the reviews on it and decided to pull the trigger. It's a great sturdy box, probably overkill for lunch box. I meal prep. It holds my 5 sandwiches, and a full size bag of chips with no problem. I leave the tray in and put my boiled eggs on top in a container along with my granola bars and it all closes no problem. The top of the lid, I put electrolytes, green tea, anything smaller and it closes with no issues. The biggest complaint was it would not carry a 16 oz bottle of water standing up. Correct, it wont. I knew that going into it, so why complain about it. You can lay them down if you want. I carry a 64oz stainless steel bottle so I'm not worried about it. They will stand up if you pull the tray out, but the lid will slightly push the tops of the bottle down. If it bothers you, buy the bigger one. Don't read the reviews, buy it, then complain about it. Use common sense. Like anything else, plastic can and will probably break, like the latch. If you throw it around or let it bounce around in the back of a truck, it will probably break the latch. So far, I have had no problems with mine, others have. It also fits in the fridge like my last one. Would I purchase this again. Sure.

I have carried this bad boy everywhere and almost every day for almost a year now. It’s super sturdy and well designed. It’s not terrible heavy so carrying doesn’t cause fatigue. It’s also very easy to clean. A great value for the money that I highly recommend

Good quality. Husband approved. Not too huge but will easily be able to pack enough for 2 meals.

So I've had it a few months now great little cooler I like the basket tray I like the ice pack holder and the top lid for other goods. Things to improve 4 regular water bottles and some ice packs that's all it can hold, and the top lid is thin. Handle is strong stable seems to keep stuff cold

Cooler is tough and everything I put in there stays ice cold, love the integrated ice pack holder and tray, works great for us!

Great size, seems durable. It is my husband’s new lunchbox and he likes it a lot.

Nice cooler . Smaller than expected. Food and drinks didnt stay cold after a 4 hours with the ice pack that it came with and another ice pack in the bottom. . Dont expect this to keep anything cold for more than a couple hours

I purchased 2 of these coolers, one through Amazon and one elsewhere. They work great if you are not on an extended trip where you need a larger cooler. Perfect for day trips, keeping groceries cold if you're not going home right away and a short weekend stay at a hotel. There is a top button that you push on the upper section of the cooler and it turns out to be a hideaway section separate from the cooler section where you can store napkins and plastic silverware.

8qt version. Perfect lunch box. Will stay cold for two solid days with the built in cold slab and a couple of slim ice gel packs. Perfect size for fitting into a work duffel bag, solid as a rock, will last decades. Best lunch box I’ve ever had. Good volume inside even with extra cold packs. Perfect for enough food for a 12+hour work shift.

It is a money value product , good quality as expected.

Pelican have a reputation for building robust, functional products and this cooler is no exception. It's price reflects it's build quality and I was very happy when I unboxed it.

Bought for mu husband for a lunch box. Super durable, stays cold all day when he's at work (outside in the heat on a farm all day!). Great product, would use for picnics too if it wasn't such a hot commodity in our house!
