Product Description Fancy a barbeque but it's raining outside? With the SEVERIN Party Grill you can grill indoors. Perfect for entertaining, impress your guests with the healthy way to cook meat, vegetables and seafood. The natural grill stone sears meat on the outside, locking in flavour for beautifully succulent meat. The die-cast grill plate can even be inverted for cooking crepes. Use the mini pans beneath to cook vegetables whilst your meat sizzles on top. Thanks to the non-stick grill coating, it's also easy to clean - particularly useful if your guests have a habit of departing before the washing up! Designed in Germany, this SEVERIN product is guaranteed with a 2 year warranty. Box Contains 1 x Severin RG2341

Nice and easy to use
Nice and easy to use, heats up quickly. The stone part marks up quite easily and stains but it's a natural product. I'm not sure about having the eight places as we struggled to get four people around it when using in real world.

Good as a slow cooker, not so good for hot stone cooking.
The first time I used my newly delivered grill, it sort of worked, but it simply didn't get hot enough. It was fine for melting cheese in the pans, but the stone top and metal grill area didn't really get as hot as they should. Sure, they cooked food, but only very slowly - which isn't really the point of hot stone cooking. You want food to sizzle and brown as soon as it touches the grill, not slow-cook. The next day, I investigated and I could only get the temperature to go as high as halfway up the thermostatic control (you set the desired temp and an indicator lights up when the temp is reached - anything above half way and the indicator will never light up). I contacted Severin and they advised returning it for replacement. The replacement arrived and the same thing happened. Despite leaving it for 30mins to heat up, it just never gets hot enough. Don't know if it's a faulty batch or a design fault, but the second one will be going back to Amazon.

Good raclette grill though I question the actual wattage
Only used it once and it was fine. My son has one and when my wife and I visited in Germany we had a lovely raclette with their's hence the reason I bought mine. I do have one complaint and this is why I gave it 3 stars. It is advertised as 1500 watt and this clearly is shown on the box but the wattage marking on the element itself shows 1400 watts. Now, either it is being sold as a 1500W when it is, in fact, a 1400W, or whether the wrong item is packaged in the box I don't know. I didn't notice the element marking until I had to clean it after our first use so perhaps too late to complain. But it did the job and rather than fuss about sending it back I decided to stick with it. After all, 1400W presumably means it will use a little less electricity than the 1500W though I did feel a bit cheated. I am assuming it is knowingly sold as a 1500W though it is, in fact, a 1400W. For a German product this point was a disappointment. I would have given it the 5 stars if it was the 1500 model though.
