My short review of this drone is it has everything you need to get the real experience of operating a drone and performs beautify. The HS700 is a real treat to fly especially for beginners. I have several drones, mostly hobby grade racing style from 2” - 7” prop sizes. All of which I have built from scratch. They are fast and fun but I only let my sons or myself fly them. Also the hobby drones need a lot of maintenance. The HS700 shines in its ease of use and stable, consistent, and predictable flight qualities. I was out flying it at our local park with my son and we handed the control to a 10-year-old boy who never flow before. The young guy got the hang of it right away. I would never do that with any other drone I own. The folks at HolyStone also include a battery bag for charging. This is more than just a nice touch. It’s the kind of detail a hobbyist knows is an important detail for safely charging Lipo batteries but someone new to the hobby might overlook. Also include are the tools needed to to remove the props and install the landing gear, and a nice notebook with post it tabs and a pen. It’s good practice to make notes on your flights. Again, everything you need to just go fly. I have crashed the HS700 (more than once I’m afraid) and it holds up quite well. I once (okay twice) hit a tree and it fell about 20’ to the ground. After cleaning it up it fly like new. One thing to keep in mind is that after you power it on by inserting the battery and have it paired to the controller, you need to calibrate the drone in order to get it to fly. To do this, place the drone on a flat surface and pull both controller joysticks down and to the left. The lights under the props will blink fast green than alternate yellow and green slowly. Next spin the drone flat about three times until the lights all flash slow green. Lastly point the nose of the drone up and rotate it until the red light are solid in the front and green LEDs are solid in the back. The iOS App is easy to set up and use and the video is clean and very usable for flight but not up to the task of professional cinematography. Flight times are long. I haven’t timed it but it’s several times longer than any of my other drones. They say 20 minutes and I have to believe it’s close to that. This is a great kit at a relatively low price point and I feel it would be wonderful for anyone who want to dip their toes in to the drone hobby.

Many, many, many moons ago I should've bought this drone lol. This drone is my first and it is amazingly good! I tested it in my mom back yard. The camera feed is good quality, but it felt kind of weird looking at myself from above lol. The drone only came with one battery, but for the price, I think that's understandable. This drone is a win, because it flies smooth, it's a nice size and it's just overall fun with great controls. I'm glad i bought it and I would definitely buy another drone from Holy Stone. If you been thinking about getting the Holy Stone Hs360s, GET IT!!! Why be on the fence when you could be flying? Watch a few tutorial video and read the manual. I've flown a few of the dji and for the price this is an excellent starter drone for hobbiest. Controls are easy, app is easy to use, and dies well even with a decent breeze. It's been my experience that the batteries last between 17-19mins. I purchased two extra batteries to be able to fly more. Since the batteries take so long to charge unfortunately. The remote control batteries life is good and charges fully quickly. When you fly forward from a still position or when your flying forward and come to a stop the camera takes a sec or two to catch up to the movement. Video is sharp and smooth however while in constant motion. Picture quality seems to be lacking when taking pics from 390 ft up. All of my images taken from a still position 390ft up aren't crisp images when zooming in on stills. Perhaps there's a setting I need to adjust im not sure yet. I did make sure I removed the protective plastic film off before taking pics. Pros: price, size, weight, excellent packaging, great instructions (definitely read them if you've never flown a drone like this), ease of use of app and to fly, fast charge time of the remote control, battery life of remote control good. Cons: battery life short, charge time long for battery, from movement to stop and vise versa takes a sec or two for image to catch up. Overall thoughts: this is a great product, worth the money, and glad I purchased it.

I bought the HS360s as a toy for me to play around with drones. I was very surprised how good it was for the price! It has great range, a decent camera and is just overall great fun and a great way to get into drones, which turns out to be a surpisingly addictive topic, so be aware! I want to make clear that this drone is not a top shelf professional video platform. Many people seem to complain about the camera not having a stabilized 3 axis gimbal, so the video feed is quite janky when flying around. But that's just how it is when not having a gimbal. I consider this a really high quality and very fun 'adult toy'. Not a professional video production platform, as some people seem to falsely expect. The controller is really high quality, too. The video stream works fine up to the couple of hundred meters that I tested. The GPS works fine. It's just overall great fun. I bet you could find other generic chinese drones for a similar price, but here I want to point out and congratulate Holystone for their branding and customer support, which other generic drones will definitly NOT have. They have a Facebook group for customers where we happiy share our little "look! I have a drone now! This is fun!" photos and videos, and Holystone participates a lot in that group (in perfect english, I'd like to add!) and are very helpful if someone has problems. Their email support is also good and responsive. This is what a 'budget' brand should do, I think. It's a very decent product with support. I do have to say that I crashed my poor drone into a worst case scenario into iron-containing beach sand. This sand enters the motors and clings strongly to the magnets inside. This will absolutely happen to any and all brushless motor drones, no matter if they cost hundreds or thousands of dollars, so this is by no means a fault on this drone's part. What I really liked, though, is that I (!) messed up when cleaning my motors and caused a short circuit in one motor, burning the ESC. (I repeat: my fault!) What is awesome is that Holystone hooked me up with a cheap replacement part in order to fix it that they are shipping to me now. They even have repair instructions on their Youtube channel! I really love that. The drone does have some small quirks, but nothing that would impede having a lot of fun with them and learning about drones. I only have two complaints: a) it should be easier to disassemble the arms and motors if magnetic sand comes into them (really niche case, though) b) the battery charges realy slowly, for some reason. It charges at about 5 Watts. It would be awesome if the battery would support USB-PD and charge quicker. In summary: if you're on a budget, and want a really neat "toy| to dabble around with drones for the first time, I highly, highly recommend this little drone. If you have more money to burn, there are obviously better drones (the sky's the limit!). But for this price, I haven't found anything better, and am really happy with it, and am now officially hooked. [full disclosure: Holystone asked me to post a review here. This my first ever drone. I'm writing this review after turning it on twice. I say turning it on because although I used it twice I don't really consider them uses. The first time I was a bit hesitant because it got dark by the time I was able to use it. But my anxiety to turn it on won over my fears. After a bit of fumbling around I was able to get it calibrated and the blades rotating. I like that once you press "Take Off" button it sits at a height that is not too high and not low and it just sits there without any inputs from the controller. I don't really think that you're flying this drone. Is more like positioning it. I mean once it's in the air you touch the controls, let them go and the drone stays there. You want to go higher? Just push the stick up until you reach your desired height and let go. Want to rotate? Push the stick in any direction and then let go once your facing the desired direction. The same with back/forth and side-to-side. Very, very simple. The drone just stays where you put it. Not flying, just positioning it. The FPV experienced zero glitches and the image was wonderful. I just want to mention that I forgot to remove the protective film on the camera lens when I recorded the two videos in this review. I'm nowhere close to considering myself a photographer but I feel the quality of the image is OK. The second time I turned it on (used it) was inside the house. Yes, my wife was not home at the time so I was in the clear. I could not get a GPS signal so I switched it to "Altitude Mode" so I believe it was using "Optical Flow" sensors to maintain position. It worked great and I was able to move it around the room with ease. This was early afternoon. Once the sunlight started really coming in it was causing heavy reflection on the floor so Optical Flow was having problems keeping the drone positioned while hovering. I was able control it while operating the controls but when I let go the controls the drone would lose control and not stay hovering in one place. It crashed a few times but nothing broke. Nothing on the drone nor anything in the room. This is why my limbs are working so that I may write this review. The only thing that happened is that a few props received very light damage. The only things I don't like are: 1- The drone is not include in the comparison list on holystone.com. It lists the HS360 but not the HS360S. 2- The props are not available on either holystone.com nor amazon.com 3- holystone.com WhatsApp chat agent told me that the props for HS360S are not compatible with any other drone. Depending on the price this may be a very bad thing. 4- Only one battery in the kit 5- The batteries are too expensive.

TL;DR I purchased this drone as a beginner-friendly option, but it repeatedly lost control mid-flight and crashed despite my careful use. While Holy Stone's support initially seemed helpful, they delayed responses, admitted the drone was faulty after the warranty expired, and never followed through with the refund they promised. I purchased this model because it was marketed as a great entry-level drone with impressive features and strong reviews. It seemed user-friendly and perfect for beginners—but unfortunately, my experience was far from that. When the drone arrived, I was excited to get started. I charged the battery, completed the preflight calibration, and took it to a nearby park for its maiden flight. Using beginner mode to avoid accidents, I enjoyed the first few minutes of flying. But suddenly, the drone lost control, began to flutter, and plummeted about 50 feet to the ground. Thankfully, it landed on grass and didn’t break. I assumed it was my error and decided to give it another shot. Thinking interference might be the issue, I took the drone to the desert to rule out factors like nearby cell towers. Once again, it flew well for a few minutes before crashing just like before. Still determined, I tried one last flight in my backyard. This time, it was only 20 feet in the air when it lost control again and fell. Frustrated but hopeful, I contacted Holy Stone’s customer support. At first, they seemed friendly and willing to help. They asked me to send log files from the drone, which I did. I was told I’d hear back in a few days—but a month went by with no response. When I followed up, they apologized and said they’d get back to me soon. Weeks later, they finally reviewed the logs and admitted the drone was faulty—but then told me it was out of warranty. The delay was clearly on their end, but they offered only a 30% refund or a 40% discount on a future purchase. Since I didn’t want to buy another drone from them after this experience, I asked for the 40% refund. That was over two months ago, and I’ve yet to receive anything. Their support went silent once they had to take accountability. In summary, this drone could be a fun entry-level option—if you happen to get a working unit. But if you don’t, you may find yourself stuck in a frustrating cycle of poor support and unresolved issues. I really wanted to give this company the benefit of the doubt, but they failed to follow through.

Product arrived in well designed packaging, and one day in advance of the date given to me. After fully charging the drone and transmitter, it was ready for a test flight. I was pleased with how easy it was to fly the drone. I did a couple of flights to help me become familiar with the controls, and then did my first videos. The quality was very good -- the only drawback was my failure to make smooth controlling movements. The unit seems quite durable under normal use, and I didn't have any issues with wind resistance. That is saying a lot since I am out in the country and we always have breezes. I did manage to bungle a flight and the drone landed in a field with high weeds; however, using the GPS, I was able to quickly locate the unit. This is a good drone to learn on and I look forward to making more (and better) videos. Highly recommend this HS360S model.

Let me say this is the first drone I have purchased and flown myself. However I do have some negatives to go with my positives. Negatives. 1.It does not have image stabilization. I knew that going into it but it makes the video recording real choppy and can be a little disorientating when flying at high speed. 2. The controls are not super refined. I have found I have to push the control stick more then half way just to get the drone to move slowly after that it’s full speed (in what ever speed you in IE slow, medium, fast). You need to find a sweet post to fly slow and even then it’s still basically a two speed drone flying in any direction. 3. On mine it least if I trim forward it continually drifts right. Maybe it’s the blades or its internal are off balance but I calibrate everything every time and no matter what I do it drifts slightly right when goin forward. Positives 1. Pictures are very clear on the as card. And even photos taken with the phone are decent enough. 2. If you have extra batteries flying time is (in my opinion) decent. Iv had on average about 20-25 minutes of flying time using all aspects of the drone, before low power alerts started. 3. It’s stabile enough flying. It’s fairly stabile for a more budget oriented drone. I do plan on buying higher priced (better tier) drones but if you’re not a professional and don’t need the better brands this can be stabile enough to fly. AS LONG AS YOU CALIBRATE EVERY TIME and have decent signal All in all in my opinion 3 out of 5. It is my first one so maybe I’m being hyper critical but I plan on using this for still pictures only since the image is soo choppy in video. If you’re a beginner I say go for. If you a veteran drone flyer. You’ll be disappointed.
