Great tool for scanning for my 3D printer

Outstanding device 👌🏽 I've designed a custom top for this and I've uploaded the print to Creality Cloud, if you have a 3d Printer you can purchase print for 7 bucks and print it and have a beautiful custom extra wide turn plate accessory for this turntable 👌🏽 no one sells one so just letting you know , you'll need it for sure 🤙🏽

It will work great for small object scanning (with additional optical dot markers) and jewelry demonstrations, videos, and photos. I deducted one star due to its rather compact size and lack of a remote control.

Nice Quality, definitely won't exceed the rated capacity on what I'm scanning, so it should last a long time.

half decent build and the tilt functionality is nice, but shakes all over the place so it can't be used for 3D scanning at a high resolution, which is what I bough tit for. It's closer to a toy than a tool

I held back due to the price but now that I got one and did a few scans I'm so glad I got one. The steady rotation and the tilt make scanning a lot easier and you get much better scans because of it. I just wish it was a little bigger.

I don't even bother with using bluetooth - I just plugged it in and used the buttons on the side of the turntable. The description of the included parts was a little confusing since the 'plate' with dots is supposed to be adhesive, but instead includes a smaller sticky gel thing... Idk. I used the reusable sticky thing to stick the plate to the turntable top and then use some premium sticky putty to hold my object in place when the table is tilted.

I received the Premium Edition, which included several additional accessories and was a very pleasant surprise. Everything arrived beautifully packaged in an excellent protective carry case, with useful extras including a small turntable. The scanner itself feels extremely well made and gives the impression of being a genuinely premium product. I installed the software on my M2 MacBook Pro with 16GB of RAM. It ran well and the interface was reasonably straightforward to understand. On paper, the POP 4 has an impressive specification, particularly considering its relatively competitive price. Unfortunately, I found the actual scanning process much more difficult than expected. I tested several different objects, modes, lighting conditions and scanning techniques, but repeatedly experienced tracking errors. I spent several hours experimenting and watched multiple YouTube tutorials to make sure my technique was correct. The only method that gave me reasonably consistent results was object tracking using the supplied marker dots. Without these, I struggled to complete a successful scan across most of the objects and mode combinations I tried. This may partly be down to my own technique, but I consider myself fairly technically capable and already have experience with graphics, 3D printing and related software. The polished demonstrations online make the scanning process appear considerably easier and more reliable than I found it to be in practice. Overall, the POP 4 is an impressively designed and exceptionally well-presented product, with good software and excellent build quality. However, prospective buyers should expect a meaningful learning curve and may need to use tracking markers to achieve reliable results. I will continue experimenting with it, as I suspect there is considerable potential once the technique and settings are mastered.

Mein Revopoint MetroX Premium begleitet mich schon seit längerem bei Konstruktionsarbeiten, jetzt durfte der Revopoint POP 4 zum Test antreten. Gleich vorweg: Ein wirklich fairer Vergleich ist das nicht, eher wie Äpfel neben Birnen zu legen. Der POP 4 zielt auf Hobbynutzer, VR-Anwendungen und schnelle Scans zwischendurch, während der MetroX in der Profi-Liga für Reverse Engineering und präzise Maßprüfung spielt. Trotzdem lohnt sich ein Blick darauf, wo die beiden Geräte im Alltag wirklich auseinanderdriften. Bei diesem Set fehlt im Gegensatz zur Premium-Variante sowohl der Akku-Handgriff als auch die praktische Tasche – beides Dinge die ich vom MetroX gewohnt bin und hier vermisse. Was ich allerdings sagen muss: Der Scanner selbst macht einen soliden Eindruck, und bei einem Preis zwischen 740 und 830€ bekommt man hier wirklich angemessen viel Gerät fürs Geld. Draußen scannen funktioniert grundsätzlich, nur bei direkter, intensiver Sonneneinstrahlung gerät das Tracking ins Stolpern und setzt spürbar aus. Beim MetroX stellt sich diese Frage erst gar nicht, der ist von Haus aus ein reines Indoor-Werkzeug für Labor und Werkstatt. Positiv überrascht hat mich die Kompatibilität mit dem Zubehör: Der POP 4 läuft sowohl mit dem 2-Achsen-Drehtisch problemlos zusammen als auch mit dem ganz großen Drehtisch, der für Personen und größere Gegenstände gedacht ist. Wer also vorhat größere Objekte oder sogar Personen einzuscannen, ist hier nicht eingeschränkt. Ein konkreter Unterschied zeigt sich bei einem normalen, mattfarbenen Bauteil mittlerer Größe: Während mir beim MetroX inzwischen, auch durch Routine, ein einziger Scandurchgang für ein komplettes und saubereres Ergebnis reicht, brauche ich beim POP 4 für dasselbe Teil locker drei Durchgänge bevor das Resultat überzeugt. Bei mehreren Teilen hintereinander macht sich dieser Workflow-Unterschied richtig bemerkbar. Wer hier neu einsteigt, sollte sich etwas Übung und Geduld einplanen – die ersten Scans laufen selten auf Anhieb perfekt, mit der Zeit bekommt man aber ein gutes Gefühl für Winkel und Abstand. Zum Preis im direkten Vergleich: Der MetroX Premium kostet etwa 1200€, der POP 4 liegt mit 740-830€ also deutlich darunter – wobei hier der automatisch ansteuerbare Drehteller fehlt, der beim MetroX serienmäßig dabei ist und im Studio enorm Zeit spart. Bei der Messgenauigkeit zieht der MetroX klar davon: 0,01mm gegenüber 0,03mm beim POP 4 – ein Unterschied der relevant wird sobald man gefräste Metallteile rekonstruieren oder enge Passungen kontrollieren will. Auch bei dunklen oder spiegelnden Materialien zeigt sich die Kluft deutlich: Beim POP 4 greife ich bei glänzenden Flächen regelmäßig zum Kreidespray, der blaue Laser des MetroX kommt dagegen meist ganz ohne diese Vorbehandlung zurecht. Mein Fazit: Wer mobil und flexibel scannen will, bekommt mit dem POP 4 zweifellos ein gutes Werkzeug. Für die allermeisten Einsatzzwecke reicht die Technik völlig aus, und die übersichtliche Software macht die Weiterverarbeitung am PC angenehm unkompliziert. Ein Studium braucht man dafür nicht – etwas Geduld beim Einarbeiten schadet aber nicht. Damit wird der POP 4 zu einem wirklich brauchbaren Allrounder. Für ernsthaftes Reverse Engineering führt für einen vergleichsweise moderaten Aufpreis aber kein Weg am MetroX mit automatischem Drehteller vorbei. Den setze ich nun seit einem halben Jahr regelmäßig ein und bin weiterhin überzeugt.

中古品でPoP2のスキャナーを2つ購入しました、 ソフトウェアがレボスキャンとレボ5がありれぼ5で使うとトラッキングミスばかり正直 直ぐに叩き売るか考えて回転テーブルを購入しました、結果は全く変わらず最後にレボスキャンで動かしたらトラッキングミスがなくなりまともにサフェースデータが作れようになりました

Great scanner ...had it for a week now have the latest software and firmware ... looked at the manual and the YouTube videos scanned a few objects great...but having an issue with the Feature / Full-Field HD..I can select an object but get no preview or range indication ...Have emailed support and await response. I am %97 sure mine is faulty....if i gently shake the scanner I get a flicker of an image on screen then nothing !! Ok Revopoint have come right back after I sent video of issue I was getting and confirmed likely a faulty unit and will swap out . Have ordered a replacement and will return the faulty unit for them to investigate.
