Fantastic shoe for a low price point for my husband's 4E foot.
My husband wears a pretty standard 12 4E in New Balance, but the specific shoe he likes was getting harder to find and was replaced by one that was over $150 (but wasn't super comfortable and didn't last that long).I decided to buy these just to see how they'd fit because the price was great and worse case, I could return them.We were pleasantly surprised, they fit well across the toe bed which is where his foot is widest but weren't too big at the heel. They give decent support and the price was great. I buy a new pair every so often just to have them on hand in case they stop making them because that's just my luck.... and doing so is what prompted me to leave the review. Wish I would have found these sooner!

Excellent walking shoe
Great walking shoe for the price. Very comfortable and seems well-made. The toe box is roomy - don't feel any binding or squeezing. They're lightweight, but sturdy. When I walk I feel good, natural support with no shifting or twisting of my feet. Very pleased.

A great shoe.
I buy men's shoes (cross-trainers) as my daughter told me they have much better support and the toe area is larger; makes for all-around comfort. These shoes are Very comfortable so I'm able to wear them all day. Plus they don't squeak like another major brand.

Don't expect much from this low-priced shoe...
I walk a lot during the winter months and needed something less breathable (less mesh material). I also wear out shoes fairly quickly and hate to spend a lot per pair. My preferred AVIA style is no longer unavailable (always annoying when a favorite style is discontinued as the replacement doesn't always live up to its predecessor). As a basic, down and dirty walking shoe these were 'just okay.' My feet are very wide in the toe box and these were accommodating in that regard. They do lack adequate support (overalll) and this was the first shoe that I put the gel inserts 'on top' of the factory liner (typically I remove them) because they needed extra support. I'll use them until they wear out but will seek out a different style going forward. As others have noted, sometimes you get what you pay for and my first sub-$40 walking shoe was no exception to that rule.Incidentally, my favorite AVIA was the A5018M which I purchased on sale for $45. I bought a second pair immediately after wearing them and wish I had purchased another spare pair.

AVIA does it again!!!!
I purchased 2 pair of Avia shoes several years ago and they are just now seeing their final days of use. Those fit like a glove, I liked the quality, design, etc. and my 2 new pair of Avia are great too. Avia not only makes a great shoe but their shoe laces last forever ... it's the total package. I don't think you can beat the quality, style, fit and value for the dollar .... Avia is the only athletic shoe I buy ... I've tried Nike, Puma, Adidas, etc. but Avia beats them all.

The best fit for my feet.
I have purchased many pairs of this particular shoe. I have a small but very wide foot and it is difficult to find comfortable shoes. My first pair was a little large, so I ordered a half size smaller. These fit better and feel better than anything else like it. There is enough width in the toe area so that it doesn't cramp my feet in that area, which is usually the problem with other brands. Plus they are well made and clean up very easily. I'm not looking forward to the day when they are no longer available.

These shoes may fit slightly tight for your selected size.
These shoes look good and were sold for a very reasonable price. Despite reading the product reviews and having purchased AVIA products in the past - surprisingly these shoes were somewhat small. They wear fine, but they after a couple of hours - they make your feet feel sore. I'm contemplating the angle of "stretching" them putting a Ziploc bag of water in them, and freezing it - to get the benefit of the frozen water expansion. I'm hoping that will help, because otherwise - these shoes were fine.
