Nice sound, doesn't clog, good price
I bought this for my wife who plays. She is a grade 6 player and her old Yamaha was playing flat and clogging (it did last 15 years). I'd looked into getting a high quality replacement and the obvious choices in ABS were Yamaha and Aulos. After some thought we settled on Aulos and it has now been a couple weeks since purchase and not disappointed. Assembly is 3 piece as standard, with cleaning pipe and chord book, and storage is a leather bag, approx 30cm.When played, this is comfortable for my wife albeit my hands are just too big for this (XL in glove size if that helps). It plays the ranges nicely, no flat spots. Clogging is not an issue at all. Only cleared it once between songs, whereas the Yamaha would need to be cleared 4-5 times and always fail on that really critical note!Overall, given the pricing and the stylings too, you cannot go wrong with this. It plays well and in the hands of someone who can play, really lovely music can be heard.

Suffers readily from condensation, poor low note stability
In my experience, this Aulos recorder has a warm tone, but I find that it is over-prone to condensation, even in a room kept at 21 degrees centigrade and with humidity at or below 60%, After 20-25 minutes, the condensation distorts the notes played, and then the recorder needs disassembling and drying out. Low note stability can be poor, highest notes sound rather thin to me.

Classy
I have several treble recorders and this is my favourite as it sounds nice and does not clog as easily. I have the aulos Haka which sounds more rustic

Nice tone
Really pleased with this recorder. It has a nice tone. You do need to purchase a cleaner in addition to this although it comes with note chart and small pot of grease and stick for putting a piece of material through to enable drying out the recorder if you wish.

Disappointed.
I personally find that this instrument plays very flat, whereas a 30 year old plastic Aulos I found in my mother's house from my student days is completely in tune - with a seemingly more rounded tone. This may differ from player to player though.
