Great for an old house
This works on all of the doors of my 1911 construction house!

Solid and functional.
Got these keys for the 100 year old mortise locks in my home. My son is a teenager now and needs a little more privacy, but not TOO much privacy! So I cleaned and lubricated the old locks and got these keys. Now he can have his privacy, but if I suspect foul play, I can unlock his door from the outside, as well. They fit perfectly and open all the locks in the house with ease. Great skeleton keys!

This is not “solid brass” as listed, this listing is fraudulent.
The finish didn’t seem right, and the key felt very light, so I started by filing an edge to see if I could get beyond any potential plating and it seems I did. After that to provide a more definitive answer I used a pair of cutters to, very easily, cut through the key to see the core material directly. This is brass plated NOT “solid brass” as is claimed in the title and expected by the price. This is a fraudulent listing and these practices are disgusting.

Perfect
My house is 100 years old and has 4 doors with mortise locks. This skeleton key fits perfect and works great on all of them. Seems pretty solid and sturdy too so no need to worry about the key breaking off in the lock.

Did not open the Curio!
Nice Key but did not do the trick to open the Curio Cabinet.

Pretty
I was hoping that this would work on a closet door of mine that got slammed shut, and locked. The key didn't unlock it, but I managed to jimmy it open with a nail file. I'll keep the key in the lock, anyway. It might keep the mechanism from locking again, should it ever get slammed again, and it looks like it belongs.
