Good external bluray read/writer
Compact, quiet for the most part. Reads and writes bluray discs without problem.

Great product from Pioneer
Great piece of kit. It works well. It is easy to use and fast enough for CDs and DVDs.

Good bit of kit
Seems to be well built. It read DVD's and Blu-ray's fine. Only written DVD's so far but that worked fine. I bought this drive as it only needs one USB connection. Some of the cheaper ones require two for power when writing.

Maybe you'll get a film a night for about a year!
Good while it worked. Bought it about a year ago; and used it over 200 times at rough guess.I've had several Blu-ray /DVD players over a decade.DVD players/External Drives seem to last longer than Blu-ray. This is my own experience empirically. Can be frustrating if you're a fellow film buff with many films on disc.I don't know if there are better External Drives/Players out there. I've tried the best brands including Sony. Expensiveness does not guarantee lasting quality.I take care of my stuff. My computer which I'm using now is about 12 years old and had constant use.Make of it what you will! To friend I'd say "consider your potential purchase and options". :-)Not a great deal of choice unless you want your film collection sitting on your shelves unwatched.

quality product AND windows 11 compatible ! you get what you pay for!
tried a few drives with my new windows 11 dell laptop - this one worked fine, but make sure you download the driver from the web address in the manual, otherwise it wont. Comes recommended - although pretty lightweight build, this is not one of cheapo drives that will come apart in your hand, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR !!

Will not play Blurays with supplied software.
Returning. Cannot play Blurays through my Windows PC with the supplied Power DVD v14 software. That software was released 10 years ago and is incompatible with my modern PC's Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 GPU. The current Power DVD 23 would cost as much as the drive.
