Exactly what I needed… Best Purchase in a long time!
First off, I rarely write reviews. This isn’t being paid for. I just want to help those who struggle to analyze all the different brands and types. I purchased my X9 during Prime Day for an additional $180. Listen, even at full price, I would buy this again!!! I had an old eufy vacuum that worked for 5 years, so I knew they make quality products (also got that one on Prime Day like 5 years ago). Onto the X9 After 5 days of use, here it goes: The mapping/routing: It mapped my house on its first go round. It did a great job mapping, but broke apart rooms differently. This was an easy fix as you can merge or split rooms directly in the app. No issues whatsoever. My entire first floor is about 1500 sq ft and all ceramic tile. (I detest mopping these and after a day, you can really see dog hair and spills from drops of water after washing hands, etc.). You can establish a schedule, send it to a room/s, or create a zone to send it to. It can vacuum, mop, or both, and you can set certain levels for each, e.g. suction power, amount of water, once or twice over an area, etc. Obstacle avoidance is spot on. Goes around chair legs and power cords and labels them on the map. I hated having to pick up every little thing with my old one. My old one would also get stuck on things where as I have not had that problem with the X9 as it avoids these things. The vacuum: This is the easy part, it has great power. Better than my 5 yo vacuum by far, and I had no issues with that one. It has the rubber roller, and I haven’t seen it get tangled yet as my old brush would. You do have to manually remove and empty the dust bin, but this is very easy and doesn’t create a mess (not something I would say of my 30c, I hated cleaning that thing). Not a whole lot else to say here, it does an awesome job and is easy to clean. The mop: This one didn’t start off so great. I did my first run, and the mop left spinning streaks you could also see the right tire leaves a track that the mop doesn’t cover. I had set the function to vacuum and mop, on medium amount of water, and 1 time pass with cleaning the mop pads every 10 min. Not happy! But I wasn’t going to give up as I know my floors can be difficult. They’re not glossy, and they dry dull, so little flaws are seen even when I mop with a bucket. Run #2, I set it to high water ( I live in AZ, and things dry quickly here, so a little extra water can only help). This one was a little better, but not great either. I wouldn’t invite friends over and brag about the new crappy robot mop. It had me contemplating returning it. Run #3- This time I set the cleaning to the specific zone I wanted, set the water to high, cleaning the pads after 5 min, 2 times pass (this creates a cross grid pattern as opposed to back and forth) and mopping route as dense (this option is only in “mop only” mode). I also emptied the tap water (it’s very hard here in AZ) and poured in filtered water from my Brita Pitcher (funny right, but I was going to give it my all this time😂). Oh yeah, and after run two, but before three, I was cleaning bath mats, so I took the mop pads off and put them in the washing machine (I didn’t dry them!); I figured maybe the pads still had whatever from the factory on them, so why not throw them in the wash! Results… NOW THIS IS WHAT I PAID FOR!! No more streaks, floors very clean. Love it. I’m not sure which or all of those things I did between runs 2 and 3, but whatever it was made a HUGE difference! There were minor tracks from the right tire, but not noticeable once dry. This thing is a keeper! So here’s my take after five days: I run the vacuum only 5 days/week I run the vacuum and mop 3 days/ week If there’s a particular spot that I want cleaned a little more, I run it in customize mop only mode. I leave the water on high and set to clean the pads after 5 minutes, and I also still use water from my Brita. All-in-all, this was an outstanding purchase! My floors were a constant downer before and I didn’t have the time or energy to mop them 2-3 times per week, now they’re fantastic everyday! Get this X9 if you have lots of tile floors, pets, kids, or a combination thereof, you’ll save your sanity and you won’t be disappointed! I’ll try to come back in a month and update this, maybe add photos or a video. *Update* Four months later and still going strong!!! Absolutely love this vac/mop!!! I no longer use filtered water, I simply use tap, and everything is great. I still throw the mop pads in the washing machine with my bath mats every week or two and that seems to prevent tire marks or streaking. Also, they added an additional feature where you can select “edge-hugging deep mop.” It’s a pretty good feature. All-in-all, this is the best money I’ve spent on a household product. It cleans my dark tile floor’s spectacularly. I saw that this is now around $650 for Black Friday and it’s a steal at this price!

Miles Ahead
Bought this as an upgrade to my Eufy L70 Hybrid. That had a mopping feature, but had to change attachments to mop. I have had surgeries on both my ankle and rotator cuff and have other issues that make vacuuming and mopping a real chore. When I received this, I couldn't believe the size of the box alone. I had to drag it in the house could not lift. Once I opened and took everything out piece by piece, it was easy to set up. The only problem I had (and this is probably just me) was connecting it to my wi-fi. I had a previous Eufy so I already had the app and just added it. It mapped my house in less than 10 minutes. I found the room divisions odd, but I think I understand why they did that. However, you can divide or add rooms as you like in the map. I watched it the whole time it first vacuumed and mopped the layout to make sure where I wanted to change the rooms or put no-go zones. It did struggle a bit on my medium to high shag carpet rug in the living room, but my other Eufy would not touch it. It did stop and give an error message every once in a while and I would just push the go arrow on the app and it would start again. I wondered maybe I had it on too low of a suction power to I raised it by one and the thing totally trudged through that carpet like nothing. Still wondering though, why it tried to go up my recliner legs that are slanted. Had to laugh. It did it's job well at maneuvering and lifting mops when detected carpet. Although I could not really figure out its pattern, I just should not watch it. I like the fact that the object detection works great so the bot does not touch the item. It comes close, recognizes it, then moves around. No more bumping into walls, etc. It went over whatever rugs I threw at it. It does go back frequently to wash the mops and then continues. I realized in the app you can change the time from 10 to 15 minutes. When it was through doing it's thing, I did my own test. I took a Wet Swiffer pad and went over various parts of the flooring. The pad came out clean. I also wore white socks around the house for a while and I was amazed they were very clean. I'm convinced. The water in the tank was pretty dirty too. Dislikes - Yes, the dust bin is pretty small compared to my other Eufy. Maybe has to make room for all the mopping addition. Would be nice if it automatically emptied, but not bad emptying after each use. Sometimes the ones with the bags, once you try to take them off to empty or throw out, punch out a bunch of dust in your face. It is really not bad doing it this way. I would rather have the water tanks that are bigger so I don't have to change those so often. It takes a while, but I was watching it the whole time and won't normally do that. It did go back frequently to wash the mops. The battery had to be charged once during the whole cycle. It is peppier than my previous unit. I couldn't figure out how to change a function in the middle of a cleaning. That may just be me and getting to know the functions of the machine. I guess reading the instructions might help. Overall, I think this Eufy is great. I love the vacuum and mop feature, the customization and the fact that it tackles shag rugs. I love the lifting mop, genius. There is another brand that is popular that has the automatic dust bin, but it doesn't have as much power and it seemed like the object detection was not as good. I can't really speak for that one as I have not tried it, but there were some things I did not need (the dust bin) for over $200 more. This is great in my book. Saves me a lot of pain. Plus, it is done at the same time, leaving me time for other things.

Works great…..until it doesn’t.
Worked great for a year. Literally died 2 weeks after the 1 year warranty. Had to fight with customer service to do something and they finally sent me new batteries. When that didn’t fix the issue they wrote me off. I even tried to find a compromise and asked if they would offer me a new unit at discount. They sent me a list of their lower end vacuum only units with supposed “discount “ prices. When I went online to look them up they were listed at same price on their website. I emailed them back to ask them again if they would offer me the same model or one higher and they refused. So customer service is trash and they don’t care about keeping a previously happy customer. I’ll be buying a different brand for a new one and never eufy again after that experience.

At the price point, nothing cleans as well, but should have been a home run.
I’ve tried three robot vacuums before, starting with the original Roomba. I was pleasantly surprised by how far the technology has come. I was going to go with a Roborock, but I have had great luck with Eufy and have found their customer support to always be there for me, so I settled on the X9 Pro. Unlike many, I don’t receive product for free, so if something doesn’t work, I’m the first to complain. The X9 works. I placed it in a nice open space, set it up and the Eufy app, and after charging up to a 100% it proceeded to map my house which is about 3000 sq ft on one floor with a pretty open floor plan (without the bedrooms, the total area that needs cleaning is about 1200sq ft). Mapping was straight and easy, although I didn’t allow it to map the five bedrooms since they are all carpeted. I may do that later, but for now, we’re good. The robot does a great job of cleaning the floors, stopping occasionally to clean the mop brushes. The vacuum is very good and we run it twice a week to remove the hair that our short haired shedding Jack Russell terriers leave around the house. The one annoyance is having to clear the vacuum bin, which happens a bit more than I’d like at this point. Moreover, there’s no sensor to tell me that the bin is full, so the vacuum will stop working if you don’t keep the bin clear (it will continue to mop, though). UPDATE: Removing one star because of this. My dust bin is completely full after every cleaning so I wonder how much hair/dirt we are not picking up. Major miss on Eufy's part here. We've had two snags. One on some shoelaces, which stopped the robot, and one case where it snagged one of our kitchen rugs. This happened before on our previous Eufy robot, but I believe it would happen with any brand, since the basic designs are all the same. The fact that it doesn't identify shoelaces is disappointing, since I've seen other brands do better in this area. EDIT: this continues to happen, so I have to be careful to pick up shoes and the kitchen mats. It doesn’t snag on an actual rug, but hates the cheap Costco kitchen mats we’ve been using in front of the sink. The battery lasts enough to do about 70% of our floor plan before it has to spend an hour or so recharging. Total time to completion for my house is about two hours. Not sure how that compares to competitors. Overall very good robot for the price point, especially for mopping, but the no self-emptying dust bin is a MAJOR miss. It could have been a winner, especially at this price. One major kudos, though... Eufy Customer Support still excels in trying to help solve any issues. Secondly, while the base is quite sizable, the size of the water containers is such that you will not need to change/refill after every wash.

game changer over the first generation vacuums
I had an old bounce around eufy vacuum that we replaced with the X9. Our house has a combination of laminate vinyl, tile, carpet, and area rugs the X9 handles switching flawlessly. As part of the start-up process you have it map your house. The first pass at doing this it got off somehow and the map was skewed with parts of it double mapped in different locations, that really threw the robot for a loop. Once I deleted the map and remapped it it worked flawlessly. Tech support was prompt and very helpful in instructions on how to share the device between 2 phones so both of us can control the schedule, no-go areas, and start an unscheduled cleaning for those oopses. The vacuum is so much better than the old S11. It filled the dust bin completely full the first few times it ran. After about a month it is now half full each time. The mop water was the same, completely muddy the first few times it ran and you could see swirl marks on the floor. Now it is dirty but not completely muddy so it is definitely catching up with the cleaning and no more swirl marks which I assume was imbedded dirt it was breaking loose. We have it cleaning 1250 square feet (it tells you in the app) and to vacuum and mop it takes 2 hours and completes it on one charge. That takes nearly a full tank of water since most is vinyl and I have it set to use the most water. It is much better at avoiding obstacles and getting stuck than the S11. In a months time we've had one time that it caught the string on some clothing on the side brush and stopped (it did send a notification through the app). There are still some very minor inconsistencies in the app. For example. I set a no pass barrier across a bedroom door and then told the vacuum to to clean a ZONE that included that bedroom and the bath connected. It did that task fine but then I had it mop the bathroom using ROOM and it wouldn't cross the barrier at the bedroom door and it only reported that it finished the task not that it couldn't get to that room, would have never know had I not been standing there. So it worked one way but not the other and didn't give an accurate report. That is the worst I've seen so far and definitely not worth a lower rating. I read lots of reviews that said it didn't pick up debris as well with the side brush. I have not seen that at all. I have been completely happy with how easy it was to set up and how well it's cleaning. It does a good job.

Totally Love This Machine!!
This was the best investment I have made for keeping my floors clean! I live in the Arizona Desert, so lots of dust, have several dogs (2 of them are Great Danes that slobber all over the floors), and a very messy husband. My floors now always look good! I have the machine set to clean my main floors at night while we are sleeping. So I get up to clean floors every day now. I do the office and bedrooms at least 3 times a week. It is amazing how dirty the water is from the main floors when I clean them 7 days a week! And what is really cool is you can do a zone cleaning or just do certain rooms. I had one of my dogs make a mess by the entrance to my office in my master bedroom and after I did my part to clean it, I sent the robot to clean only the area where the mess was. Totally cool!! And the dogs get their food in my office so when the Danes get excited we have giant slobbers all over the floor. So after breakfast while I am cleaning up the dog dishes, I now send the robot to clean the office. It takes it just 10 minutes and my floors are clean for the day. I had/have a J7 IRobot but that one only vacuums, this one mops and vacuums. Emptying the dust bin is really not that much of a bother as I figure the 60 seconds it takes me to do that is so much less time then if I had to keep mopping my floors myself but that is something they should improve so it is self emptying. But by not having the feature I can run the robot at night as it is quiet (does not need you to leave the lights on as well unlike the Irobot). If it had the self emptying feature I might have a problem with the noise when it empties the bin. I spent about 3 minutes a day taking the dirty water out and filling up the clean water and emptying the dust bin. So much less time then my trying to mop/vacuum my floors myself. And it does not leave streaks! I was going to send it back if I saw one streak but it does not leave any! This is a great machine and I now have clean looking floors all the time! Awesome!!!!

Errors since I turned it on, no mopping and misses to clean under cabinet toe kick
I received my Eufy today and couldn’t wait to unbox it since I’ve had their basic robot version and loved it, but was looking for mapping and mopping so I ordered the 9X Pro. I followed the directions and after installing the app and firmware updates, I got an S1 battery error. After turning it off and then on, the error cleared. I filled out the water tank and did the mapping and that was great. I did the first vacuum only cycle on an hallway, and wasn’t impressed. Then did a vacuum and mop cycle, and I received another error that there was not sufficient water in the water tank (I had just filled it to the max level as indicated). I pulled the clean water tank out to double check and when I inserted it back to the base, no error but the mops were dry, and off it went vacuuming and mopping (with dry pads). I checked again the setting for the mopping cycle to indicate the amount of water for the mops and sent it to vacuum and mop again. Same water error and after removing and placing the water tank, off it went mopping with dry mops for the second time. I wanted to like it so bad that I sent it on its next mission to clean my kitchen using vacuum mode. It missed anything that is about 3 inches away from the toe kick and fails at cleaning corners. Having owned a very basic Eufy robot (eufy BoostIQ RoboVac 11S MAX) I was hoping the much more expensive and “smart” version would be at minimum as good as the one I’ve had. But not only has it thrown errors out of the box, but even the basic task of vacuuming is performed poorly. As for mopping, I can’t even judge because this smart robot can’t sense that the tank has water! Video shows how it misses things on corner and cabinet toe kick.

Juste WOW!
Merci Eufy!

Warranty is a pain
This product was awesome for a few months. When I got some error codes I was told to return the item to eufy and they would send a replacement. I have been dealing with them for over a month and still don’t have a replacement as promised. This is a pretty expensive item to have to fight them to come good on the warranty.

Good Product but Wifi connection
I used this product for a month or more. In terms of doing the actual cleaning it did a perfect job. Especially if you enable 2xedge mopping it almost doesn't mean any spots. The interface and mapping are wonderfully designed. However wifi connection issues made it useless. I had to reconnect 4-5 times a day by resetting the wifi connection. I called Eufy but no solution. They said even replacement wouldn't work. So I initiated a return directly via Amazon and got my money back.
