Works great with Mac
It backs everything up on my MacBook Pro fast and great. It’s a bit smaller than I expected, which isn’t a bad thing. I think it LACie has a good reputation, it’s just a bit pricier.

If you have an old iMac you need this
2017 iMac was cooked, slow all the way around. After installing the Mac OS on this device it has transformed the computer. iMac lightening fast now. And to think I was considering a new iMac around $1500. Why did I not do this sooner? Thanks. Saved me a lot of money.

It is heavy !
For me it works but seems to drain fast my MacBook Air battery ( don’t know if it’s the hard drive or the MacBook itself) and it is heavy in mi opinion.

100% Function
Great little (emphasis on the little) drive for a good price considering the size and capacity. I changed to a longer USB-C cable for convenience, but I already had it on hand. The short one is better if you want to save space in your briefcase, but I use this in the house.

If they were not so expensive I would throw them away
I have tried to set this up with 3 new Mac's and could not finish the set up on any of them. I wasted hours trying to install doing the same things over and over. I called several experts to try to install and none of them could get it going. I tried calling to get some help from the company and could did not have any luck. I want to send them back or get someone to help me get the these. Is there any possibility of someone contacting me.
