My small breed puppy is very smart, but vocal and very stubborn. She already understands “no,” but she won’t listen if she wants to get her way. She has a lot of toys, but barks incessantly when she wants us to play with her, and she doesn’t stop until we play. We play with her a lot, but she loves tug of war and playing with the flirt pole, so she wants our constant interaction.For a small puppy, her barking is very loud and disturbing. So far, we have tried two different ultrasonic deterrent devices with great reviews and neither helped; she only barks at them even more LOL. Since we did not want to resort to shock, we got this collar, and it quickly achieved its purpose. Out of the box, the collar was set to dual (sound/vibration) mode at a strength of four and I didn’t change it.Last night, when she just kept on barking at the brand new ultrasonic device, we put the collar on her. Both times that she barked the vibration startled her, and she stopped immediately - that was all it took. After a while, we removed the collar and the day’s lesson had been learned. Today, the first time she barked I only showed her the collar and she stopped. 15 minutes later, she barked again and the collar went off next to me, she looked at it and then looked at me. I picked it up, showed it to her, voiced the command, and she stopped. After those two incidents, twice she sat in front of me and looked at me to let me know she wanted to play and we did. SUCCESS! Happiness is a well behaved puppy.FYI, my puppy weighs 4 lbs., her neck measures 7.5 inches and the collar fits well. Of course, I sized the collar to a loose fit and cut the band. Just in case, I left enough length to allow for future growth. I also looped the excess band back thru the buckle and the collar was ready for my puppy.If you’re on the fence about using a bark collar because you don’t want to resort to the shock option, give this one a try.

Works like magic

I wish a minus 1 or 2 star were an option.I am purchasing this product for the second time with the hope that this one won't be defective. This is the third brand of bark collar I am buying. They were all defective in some way. DINJO the screen / monitor only showed half the display, the second brand not sure began with R had a very low volume although it was turned up to 8 the highest level and this brand the vibration works but not the sound. My nephew purchased DINJO and it works fine. I am dedperate to find a bark collar that deters my dog from barking incessantly. I.have a path worn to the store returning them that is not close by. I am thoroughly disgusted and very disappointed. Amazon is dealing or contracting with very disreputable companies with shoddy low quality products. When I complained about this I was told Amazon is not responsible for the defective products and I have to contact the third party sellers and deal with them. I email these companies and get no response. They are always foreign companies. Big surprise right ? On several occasions they have said that products were delayed in shipping and after about a month or longer Inform me that the product is no longer available. Amazon's service including customer service has been going consistently down hill. Their customer service is contracted out to a foreign country and the representatives are hard to understand and they get testy when I explain that to them. I also am hard of hearing which adds to the problem. After I explain the problem they say that I need to speak with someone else and this happens at least 3 xs per phone call which last no less than an hour every time I call and almost always ends with no resolution to the problem. I am extremely frustrated. Initially was very happy with Amazon products and services but that is now not the case. I am looking for other options. I still am giving the company that makes this product one more chance but don't expect anything better. This certainly is a sad commentary about the companies and services the American consumer has to deal with today especially Amazon.

I have a 5 1/2 pound Chihuahua that was barking relentlessly as soon as she heard me get out of bed every morning… She would wake up the entire house. She also does this when I come home from work. After just a few days of having her wear the collar at night, she quit the barking in the morning. She does still whine a little bit and unfortunately the collar will beep and vibrate with even that little amount of noise, but it has definitely helped curtail her barking.

I have a 8 year old chihuahua who has been non-stop barking at anything that passes by our house, even if they're on the street and not close to our front door. The barking got so excessive, - we've tried the ultrasonic sound remote, making a different loud noise to distract, but nothing was successful. I tried this as a last resort, and it seems to be working. My dog gets so startled by the beeping and the vibration that he stops barking.However, I can't quite determine what the right sensitivity is. There seems to be a pretty long delay in the collar's response, even if my dog barks fully. I've ramped it up to high sensitivity, and I've tried it at 3, but the delay doesn't seem to differ between two sensitivities. My dog fits in 3-4 barks before the collar goes off, not sure if this is normal.
