The 8m version is quite heavy and difficult to manoeuvre when fully extended. The trick is to place the end of the pole on the ground and hold vertically immediately below the branch to be cut, only then to extend the individual sections to the required height. The cutting tool is very well made with jaws wide enough to cut thick branches. The 'gearing' of the cleverly designed pulley reduces the force needed to operate the cutter. Would have been helpful if instructions had included guidance on how to use, as above. Overall an excellent product which enabled me to raise the canopy of an enormous lime tree which was blocking out light in our garden.

Branch cutter was very good with the pulley system it gave good mechanical advantage. Blade was good. Pole was very flexible when fully extended, this could do with more reinforcement. It did the job.

At first glance it seems ok although at full reach it bends a lot so best to only use in a vertical way. Assembly and user instructions just about non existent. A few pictures on the box with Chinese writing. This is an 8m extending pruner. Why only supply a pull cord of 3m?? Crazy.

Started off ok but quickly showed the lack of build quality.

the pruner arriven with out any instruction on how to assamble. The Cutter at the top of the pole would not fit onto the pole correctly. Then the ajusters on the sections of the poles would not work. First it took a long time to work out how the catches opened to extend the poles . then after they were open you cant get them to lock to stop the poles closing again. All in all a usless bit of kit.

Compared to others that use a few poles this is compact decent weight sturdy and works fine
