Comfortable and durable

These socks are fine. Nothing special. I didn't have any issues like some other reviewers did with quality. Mine have been washed a couple of times and seem well built. Nothing is coming apart nor are they shedding lint or anything like that. (I will update this review if that changes) I don't know why they call them work gear socks though because to me, that would imply a thicker more robust sock, but these are about the same as any other regular crew sock I've ever owned as far as thickness and quality goes.... and I've owned tons of crew socks from all different brands. They are 80% cotton according to the package which I like and the price is great. They are not too tight and they will stay up, but I typically push them down because I'm more comfortable that way. The only potential real issue is that I'm a size 9.5 US shoe in almost every brand and these socks fit me perfectly, but I can see if you were a size 11 or higher shoe that you would probably find these to be too small from toe to heel and being that they say they're 6-12 size, I thought I'd mention that. Hopefully that will help someone. I am perfectly happy with them though and for shoe size 10 and smaller folks who are looking for no frills regular weight and quality high cotton content crew socks, I would recommend these.

I have purchased these allegedly same Fruit of the Loom socks a number of times over the years and it seems like the product is slightly different each time. I've noticed this with other brands of socks and underwear, as well; they are inconsistent from purchase to purchase.Historically I have been pleased with these Fruit of the Loom socks, but the most recent version has a very thin, loosely woven, waffle-like texture on the upper/calf portion of the sock. The weave is such that the upper is almost see-through in nature and makes the socks seem low quality. My first impression is not a favorable one.

They are comfortable. They are still that way after a number of washings, and they still feel thick in the heel and bottom of sock. They stretch easily on the calf.
