This Bench is Pumping Up My Home Workouts
Setting this thing up was surprisingly easy – I was expecting a wrestling match with Allen wrenches, but it was pretty straightforward. And once it was built? Solid as a rock. I can adjust it to all sorts of angles for different exercises, from incline presses to those weird ab things I saw on YouTube. It feels sturdy and secure, even when I'm flailing around with weights.

Bench angle doesn’t lock
Used for ~10 months, 3-4 times per week. It’s sufficiently sturdy and durable for my lifts, a 170 lb guy dumbbell pressing 50 per arm. Loses a star because the adjustments don’t lock and upwards force on the bench (e.g., when gripping near head with leg lifts) causes the mechanism to disengage and slip). Also, I’ve had a scary incident where it wasn’t fully engaged (a bit crooked since delivery) causing it to slip when bench pressing. They could’ve added an inexpensive “lock” to keep angle of bench secured. All that said, definitely got my money’s worth and would probably get it again unless I could find something similar for $10-15 more that locked.

Excellent item, the weight bench looks just has advertised. I also purchased dumbbells from Amazon. That completed my home gym.

Not for larger people / barbell lifting
If you weigh under 200 lbs and are using this for dumbbells, it may be a 5 star product. It does NOT, however, remain stable for 800 lbs as advertised. I actually love this bench, but as a 250 lb guy using it with a power rack for the last couple of months I cannot recommend it for larger people. When I was using it for dumbbells up to 55 lbs it was fine, but started getting really squeaky and creaky. Annoying but not a real problem. When I graduated to a power rack and it was subjected to bench presses of modest weight (under 500 lbs combined user and bar/plate weight) the annoying creaking became bending of the frame. The seat and back became slanted about 15 degrees. They bent back into place easily enough, which is even more concerning. I feel like it is going to fall apart completely if I put much more weight on it and I'm a little scared to keep using it now.I can't complain too much at this price point, but I was hopeful it could support the advertised weight capacity. I got a good 7 months out of it, so it's more than earned its 3 stars.

Wobbles & Welds Break
EDIT…The Amazon Seller really stepped up and is sending me a replacement bench. I adjusted the rating to four stars because of the seller, but I couldn’t give it 5 since the bench did break. This wasn’t a terrible bench, for the first 8 months, although it’s pretty wobbly. I would never trust it with heavy weight.About a week ago I realized that the bench platform, where you would sit to do Preacher Curls, was shifting. When I looked underneath I noticed that the welds on one seat support failed, and another is almost there.I weigh 200 pounds. The bench is rated for 800 pounds. The heaviest dumbbells I use are 35 pounds. 35+35+200 =270 pounds, a far cry from 800 pounds. I attached a picture of what the good weld looks like (I use the term good loosely) and a pick of the weld that failed.I contacted the Amazon seller and the manufacturer and I received no response. I guess I could put an “L” bracket underneath for support, but not only should I not have to do this, but I need to watch the screw length or I will end up getting poked in the butt big time.I don’t think I can recommend this bench.
