Bioactive B Complex

I have MTHFR variants and have tried MANY different types of methyl B vitamin blends, and searched for countless hours looking for the right forms and doses. This is the best one for my needs.Some things I like about it:1. The doses aren't crazy high (especially b6, which you have to be careful with as it can become toxic and cause neuropathy, migraines, etc.) And you can take just one pill if you want even less.2. It has the P5P form of B6, which is best for certain genetics, especially if you slow COMT.3. It does NOT have ascorbic acid, which is made from MOLD! It has a natural vitamin C instead.4. It has the methylfolate form that I need. And in a good dose.It's almost perfect. My only suggestion for improvement would be that I wish it had less methylb12 and some hydroxy & adenosyl b12 added in its place to have all 3 forms. Some people with MTHFR and slow COMT need the hydroxy and/or adenosyl forms more than the regular methyl (which might cause overmethylation in some people and cause jitteriness or a wired feeling.)

The dose amount is 2 capsules and there are 240 capsules. I bought this brand instead of the usual brand I get because of the value and the amount of mg per dose. It has more mg in most if not all of the vitamins listed compared to my other brand. The other brand is identical as far as it being methylated and also has Vitamin C (esterified). Unfortunately it is not working for me. About 30 minutes after taking a dose, 2 capsules, I felt like I suddenly sunburned, itchy, and nauseous, and a headache. I did not realize it was the vitamin b3 or niacin until the next day. I decided to take my old brand dose and there was no issues. Then the following day I took this brand. The same thing happened. The next day I decided to take 1 capsule after researching and realizing what too much vitamin b3 or niacin can do to a person which is a burning sensation on the skin like a sunburn, itching, headache, nausea, dizziness. I guess I will have to go back to the old brand. The good side is that I know there is vitamin b3 in this brand. lol The other thing is apparently I'm getting enough vitmain b3. Also I see comments about an odor or bad taste. I don't get that. Good product and I wish I could continue with it. I do want to add I had been taking the old brand for about 6 months without any issues like with this brand.

I like these vitamins because they don't cause any aftertaste or side effects like some multi-vitamin Bs. I appreciate the niacinamide so I don't get the flush that comes with regular niacin. Taking two a day, this bottle will last almost 4 months, making them a good value for the money.It can be hard to find the vitamin content together in one supplement, but this one has all the ones I look for, especially B6 in the form of P-5-P and B12 methylcobalamin. I have noticed some difference in my energy level since I started taking these.

I've purchased this brand for various supplements, magnesium, Vitamin D, and several others and have always been happy. Unfortunately, this product gave me an extremely bad reaction. I actually had to call my doctor to see if I needed the ER. Because it happened so quickly after taking these (within an hour) I thought to mention it and my doctor recognized it as a "Niacin Flush" reaction that can occasionally happen. My face, ears, neck, chest, arms and knees were bright red, extremely itchy and it felt like my skin was burning. It was pretty alarming but my doctor assured me that it would pass fairly quickly. In my case it didn't pass very quickly and it ended up taking 6 more hours and I ended up needing antihistamines before it finally wore off.I've taken B Complex vitamins with Niacin every day for decades now and have never had this happen before. I'm not sure if it's the specific form of Niacin this brand uses or the fact that it's a fairly high amount at 100mg. I've checked the labels to some of my past brands and at least one of them had the same amount, but in a different form, others had different amounts. So I'm not sure what happened in this case but it was quite unpleasant.That being said, I contacted the company and they immediately refunded my money and I've had a good experience with their other products and their service in general, so I only knocked one star off. I can't recommend this product, however I do still recommend this brand for other supplements.

This supplement boosts energy, immunity, and overall well-being. Even during my afternoon slump, I feel refreshed and more productive.

Love these b vitamins and this brand. Not sure if they changed recently, as they contained black spots in the capsules in this new shipment.
