Waterproof definately but questionably bulletproof
I had one of these drives previously, USB2, 16Gb version and it performed faultlessly for around 3 years. I like them because they're waterproof when screwed together as I used to work and play outside quite a bit, protection from the elements was important for me. As far as bulletproof, this is probably a description pushed a bit too far. My previous drive suddenly died and hence I bought this replacement. When I took it apart to see if it could be fixed, I was dissapointed that the circuit board inside the casing is not really protected by any foam or resin to absorb shock loadings and therefore I suspect that maybe being dropped out of my coverall pocket might have been the root cause of its failure. Don't get me wrong, it had been dropped and "Casually Handled" previously without issue but considering the device is marketed as "Bulletproof", I would have expected a little more internal protection than I found, especially given the robust nature of the outer casing. I can't say whether the new ones like this are built any differently but I suspect not.The keychain is of good quality and the doglead clip has proven strong and reliable. The chrome plating is good quality but the black lacquer gets scraped off the body of the drive after prolonged pocket-sharing with other metal objects such as keys and coins etc. Only to be expected really but I've seen some reviewers complaining bitterly about it.The USB3 does seem noticeably faster than the older drive but as I encrypt mine, it tends to slow it down from normal transfer speeds. I've not timed it for hard data but it's no slower than a Kingston 64Gb USB3 drive I also have.Would I recommend it. Yes. If you want a drive that's 100% waterproof (When it's screwed to its cap), this is the drive to have. If you want one that will survive a drop from 100 metres onto a dry area, most cheap plastic drives will fit this bill as they have less kinetic energy to disipate when they hit the ground. I've dropped a Cruzer 8Gb stick from 60Ft onto a concrete factory floor and it survived and is still working today 6 years on. This USB3 drive has been in use now for several months without issue so time will tell if it's as good as the previous one. I dropped it 1 star purely for the fact that it could have been internally ruggedised a little better, especially given its cost.

A bullet of a storage system that looks the part
This does exactly what it is supposed to do and I know it's going to be on me when I need it.I attached this to my car keys so that I have it when i'm out working. It has plenty of space for what I need and as it is a 3.0 it is fast at transferring data,The casing is nice and strong, and it feels it. It has withstood being inside my pockets, coat/trousers and there are no signs of it being damaged, which is great considering the amount of times it's in and out.The thread on this casing is stronger and has withstood what, on some other threads would have been the dreaded cross thread. but this one goes in easily each time. Even when i'm rushing.I think I may be investing in some more of these in the near future as they are nice little storage devices without looking plain and tacky

Tough but USB can unscrew and become lost
purchased two of these for myself and partner and we love the bullet construction and impressive strength however we both now twice in 18months have had them unscrew whilst on a key ring and fall unnoticed on the ground under totally different circumstances. One occasion from jacket pocket and the other from handbag .. just yesterday my partner found the USB half on the grass by her usual parking space at work.We cannot think that this is coincidence because if the bullets were not screwed tight enough they'd unscrew sooner and the shape does not allow screwing tightly. So we think gradually they unscrew and you can have confidential data on them so any loss of the USB is bad news. So until there is a locking mechanism we recommend to not buy

Perfect
I love these products had most re-incarnations of it from 1gb to now the 32gb. It is sturdy seems ok speed wise. Not had any issues with it.
