Philips Norelco OneBlade Face & Body

Bought this to do detail trimming around beard. Also to use for "personal" trimming. I was surprised how close this thing can shave! Much better than I expected! I can quickly trim around my beard, cleaning up the ragged edges. Good enough to get by without putting a razor to it to finish off and look good. If I am going formal I would use the razor to finish it perfect, but most of the time I don't need it! I tried the stubble guides & they work fantastic! Wish I had found this in spring, when I was thinning my beard down. It works super fast and accurate, can't wait till spring comes again, cause getting the stubble look will be so easy compared to my old trimmer! The battery seems to last forever on a charge! Maybe because it is so easy & fast to use. I charge it so seldom, I have to hunt for the charger. The replacement blades seem pricey, but mine last much longer than regular blades, so I think I am probably spending less on them. I don't care though, this thing is so nice! Now, the other reason I got this was to try it as a "personal" trimmer. You know, to get the crotch hair under control! Literally every scissors, trimmer or razor I have tried to use to trim my crotch area, no matter how slowly & carefully I worked, I have ended up cut, nipped, and bleeding, sometimes in multiple areas. I had pretty much given up on taming it. I saw that some guys said this works great. I decided that at the least, another beard trimmer wouldn't hurt, as I don't really like mine all that much. And if it works as a personal trimmer too, great! WOW! Cautiously, I tried it, and it trimmed around there with NO nips, cuts, or scrapes!!! If I were reckless I might be able to hurt myself, but there weren't any problems while being moderately careful! I was even able to trim on my rod, which is as scary as it gets! And I was surprised how close it would trim! FINALLY! A personal trimmer that ONLY trims the hair! If you are looking for a trimmer for the stubble look, this is great for that. If you are looking for a personal trimmer that isn't out to maul you, GET THIS ONE!

I have been shaving with the Norelco OneBlade for 6 years now and this thing is still going strong. I love it so much that when both of my son's started shaving I bought them one of their own. The blades cut close without any knicks and you can use it one your entire body. The battery lasts forever basically. Feel like I can go a whole month or longer without charging. All the attachments are great, easy to clean, and easy to use. Literally the only razor I ever want to use

By far the best trimmer I've ever owned. From trimming my beard to just above stubble to places a bit more private, it works exceptionally well and far, far better than I expected. I have pretty thick hair on my face. Being half Portuguese, it is thick and prickly as a son of a gun, so it has to be even. Slap the guard on and it works better than my $150 hair clippers. As for use as a razor? It works _"OK."_ I've never used it in the shower, just dry shaves and there has been no irritation, but the shave isn't exactly anywhere close to razor smooth. If you don't have thick hair (ei Asian, Irish, English, Nord or Slavic descent) then you shouldn't have issues. By the way, by thick I mean the actual strands of hair, not how densely packed the follicles are. As a body trimmer, again, it works astonishingly well. Toss the guard on of your choice and within minutes you're done. A+ from me. Oops, and I almost forgot the battery life. I charged it once and have used it once on my body and about 10 times on my face and beard. Maybe 2 hours of total use so far and it still has over half a charge while the blade has not dulled in the slightest. It also makes a quick once over on my cheeks and under my bottom lip along with my neck very easy to finish off with my Mach 3. I typically only use my regular razor when going to functions as the electric razor is more than adequate to head out to my son's football games or a laid back family picnic. 100% worth the money and would absolutely buy again, though hopefully I'll only need to replace blades over the next 5 years or so. Great purchasing decision as you're going to get a lot more than any other razor/trimmer that I've seen at these price points.

I'm not really a fan of electric razors. I bought this more for trimming and maintaing body hair, which it does well. I was surprised at it shaving capabilities, still not as good as a conventional razor, but far better than any other electric I've ever used. Definitely adequate when you don't have time or a sink for a typical shave. It takes some getting used to, as it shaves better on the upstroke, but without turning the handle. As a beard trimmer it works well for maintaing lines and length, but only if you stay on top of it. I have a tendency to let my beard grow longer before I trim it. Once it got to long and heavy, it's just too much for this small trimmer, and I have to go to a more traditional clipper. It really excels as a body hair trimmer. I'm a hairy guy, and like to keep it clean. I don't like shaving my entire chest, just to shorten the hair mostly, the guides work well for that. Take the guide off and it shaves almost razor smooth. The size and ergonomics make it very comfortable and easy to use. The slim long handle gives a bit of extra reach for those annoying patches of back hair. The battery last me weeks between charging, though I don't use it daily. Biggest criticism is the lack of a bag or a case. It seems like a well made, well thought out product. With so many small parts, it seems like a no brainer to at least include a bag for it all. Also it came with 2 blades but only one cover, so you can protect the spare or the head on the razor itself, while it rolling around uncased, and unprotected, in your drawer or travel bag. These blades seem very fine and delicate and likely won't last long unprotected, and they aren't cheap.. Luckily I found an aftermarket case on Amazon that works quite well, though it was pricey for what it is, so that's adds to the cost of the unit.

This thing is absolutely incredible, and just gets better with time once you start to get new types of razor attachments. I have used this device, and I mean one singular unit of the Oneblade, for 4 years now. The only problem I've started to run into is battery, it lasts long enough for me to shave, but I have to make sure its charged before I want to use it, it likes to die on standby. Its not the closest shave ever, but more than enough for my usage. The blades aren't traditional razors, they have this diamond pattern on the actual razor bit which is what cuts the hair. Its also fairly cheap and comes with quite a few attachments for closeness of shave and whatever else. Leaves my skin as smooth as any other razor as well, or atleast I can't notice any roughness.

I’m a guy with a good bit of body hair, and rather than run around looking like I have Bin Laden in a scissor lock, I like to keep everything down there clean, from my waist to my knees. Have since I was 16 or 17 years old (almost 20 years now). I have, from time to time, used a blade - but it gets expensive and I get TERRIBLE razor burn. That said, I have tried every trimmer under the sun, from regular hair clippers, to beard trimmers, to other trimmers that claim to be for sensitive skin. The OneBlade is the first I have found that doesn’t pinch or draw blood, and it also (with no guards) gives a super close shave with no irritation whatsoever. Please bear in mind, ladies and gentlemen- this is NOT a replacement for a blade. The shave I get produces a sort of “invisible stubble.” All the way down to the skin, but leaves just enough to keep razor burn and all ingrown hairs to a virtually nonexistent level. You can still feel the stubble - it is not baby smooth, but it isn’t severe tire damage either. This is exactly what I was looking for, and I couldn’t be happier! I‘ve had my OneBlade for about a year now - the battery is still in great shape. It lasts long enough for me to do the “hairless shorts,” more than twice on one charge - that’s actually a considerable amount of time. I’ve never tried more than that because I like to keep it charged. I don’t use the combs/guards, so I can’t attest to their durability. That’s simply not what I bought it for. The package I bought came with two blade heads. I am just now buying another 3 pack (hence this review), and although they are a little pricier, I am satisfied with their longevity. And for the record, they didn’t break - they’re just old and quite frankly, they’ve pretty much been to ‘Nam and back. So, if you’re a guy or a girl who wants a painless way to regularly tame the uncharted wilds of the south - BUY IT! You won’t regret it!

Truthfully, I had gone through a bit of a depressive episode and didn’t keep up with shaving. I had about two months of hair growth on my legs and knew it was now too long to just shave with a razor so I was looking for a women’s trimmer when I found a video on Tik Tok with this lady who would steal her husband’s OneBlade to shave her legs and I found out SO many women use this product for just that! I was honestly just looking to trim my hair shorter before shaving but I tried this without any guard on my legs and was amazed at how close of a shave it got! It took off SO much hair in one go! I would say it feels like day one after shaving. You know, it’s smooth when you rub down and just a little bit stubbly when you rub up. I could see myself using this instead of wasting hot water to shave in the shower. I could see it being great for travel as well! I did both of my legs dry while sitting down, both above knee and below, in less than 10 minutes and I’m a hairy girl so believe me when I say I had a LOT of hair. I really thought it would just get stuck but nope- absolutely no pulls, no cuts, and my legs don’t feel dry at all. Now, I saw some women use this *down there* WITH the guard. I have not tried that yet but I will and will update this review! So far, it’s a 10/10. So happy I purchased. UPDATE: I did use it down there with and without guard. It wasn’t effective for me with the guard so I took a risk and tried it without. Pleasantly surprised. No cuts or pulls. Still be careful!

I bought the QP2630/70 to get an extra blade and Lithium power for just an extra 10. My intention was to use this as a beard and mustache trimmer. I couldn't get that edge trim like I get with my old Wahl Groomsman. Next I tried the plain direct shave and couldn't get the smoothness of my old Norelco triple header. So what is left and the reason I am keeping this. For those times when I completely shave off my beard this works, it cuts through with out hesitation. For those times when I want to shave around my beard without edge trimming this works and leaves a 5 o'clock shadow. I just ordered a replacement battery for my Wahl trimmer, hard to beat the simplicity, and the QP2630 hopefully will last a long time not being a daily user. The Qp2630 has lithium battery with corded charger. There is no travel or storage case included. Just like the Wahl trimmer, the QP 2630 will drop all the clippings so clean up is to be considered. I haven't tried its use in wet conditions, but it is advertised to be used wet. I go through stages of completely bearded to completely shaved and thus have a reason for owning several pieces of equipment, if you shave only close, I would not buy this. 12/2024 Update: I have been missing an option to get a better cut. I removed the guard (which I think the instructions suggested) and got a closer shave. You just need to be cautious about letting it pivot with you hand movement. Still not the closest shave compared to my Triple header but I have found it to fit my lifestyle better. I'm retired and don't shave everyday, the One Blade works well for me and the Lithium model last a long time between shaves. Have bought replacement blades and I recommend this shaver.

Arrived with a US charger so doesn't fit UK power outlets. Otherwise the product is as expected.

Very impressed with the shavers ease of use. Attachments are easily put on. Shaves fairly close, but not as close as a razer. Did a great job of removing 3 weeks of beard growth. Easy to use as a shaver or beard trimmer. Next to impossible to cut yourself like a razer. Small, light, charges fairly fast.

Pretty good product overall, does everything as advertised. Only thing for people not living in the US like me (Singapore), take note that it's a US plug so you'll need a transformer/converter to make it work with you. It's a pretty common thing if you buy overseas electronics, but I totally forgot about that when I made the purchase.
