My employer has a strict policy of connecting devices like phones to the computer system. It's a security issue. Charging your phone needs a USB plug and available socket. Not always available depending on where I am working. This is perfect as it doesn't connect all of the pins on the USB socket. It only uses the power pins. When it's plugged into a computer, the computer doesn't try to install drivers and it doesn't recognise that a device has been attached. It simply charges the phone.

Now I can safely charge phone in airports, cafe, train, etc. without worry of losing personal data as possible with a tampered charging port! Criminals are the losers here and consumer might enjoy technology.

Took on recent holiday and used whenever charging phone. They appear to do the job they are designed for.

I use these for phone charging where I am unsure of the source and for dashcams that automatically go into data mode when being use on the car USB ports.Good stuff and they feel good quality.

I needed to use the USB port in my car to charge my phone, unfortunately when the data part is also connected my car treats my iPhone like an iPod which then stops all the Bluetooth working correctly. So I needed a cable to block the data part and just keep the power for charging. Tried these and they did the job perfectly. I still have full use of my Bluetooth for calls and music, while still using the USB port for charging.Brilliant, and I have a couple of spares as well!

Do what it says on the tin. USB condoms. Nicely made and they do their job. Recommended.
