One of life's most beautiful creations. She's like a devoted wife - no matter how much abuse you give, she always comes back with a hot beverage for you to shamefully and selfishly indulge in.I've charred the hell out of her... due to improper use on my part. Were I savvy enough in the beginning to know what I was doing, I'd have given her the tender sweet love she deserves. She may not have the glamorous sheen she had when we first met but I know it's because I've been a cantankerous fool with her.Treat her well lads, she's Loreal. Ultra lightweight cup and the perfect size for making a single person meal or drinking a coffee. Titanium is a really great material due to its weight and not having to worry about stuff leaching into your food (as opposed to mixing hot meals in plastic or nonstick cookware, although I am definitely a fan of Fozzils Snapfold Plastic Bowlz as well).The one thing I will say is that heat will easily transmit throughout titanium so the handles can get hot to hold and your lips not appreciate sipping from it. I initially thought to use the MSR Titan Ultralight Titanium Cup because of this (handles are top of cup are coated with silicone), but there was a substantial price difference. Fortunately, there’s a fix for this! For drinking, buy the Snow Peaks Hot Lips – which is great because you can use them for other containers as well. For the handles, purchase silicone tubing (I got 3mm inner diameter and 5 mm outer diameter ones). You can take out the handles, put the tubing on, and snap the handles back in. The easiest method would be to get the silicone hot first to make it more pliable. I also had food grade silicone spray lying around which I used as lubricant. It took some elbow grease but I’d highly recommend doing this. I could have purchased silicone tubing of a slightly larger diameter to make it easier to slide on but couldn’t comment as to how it might affect the fit. Search on YouTube and you’ll find some good video demos. Highly recommend!
