I like this set of wheels the rubber is real hard and should hold up for a long time, with that said I know a lot of construction sites with welding and grinding and even the likes will indeed take it toll on them as it would any wheel. I have shown what the side of the insert is and the length and depth as well as the exterior size of the shaft. The retaining pin is a bit cheap but it will do the job it was designed for at least for a little while. Over all if these are going to be in the weather a good coat of paint might be in order for them to prevent rusting out. The locking petal works as it should but seems to be a bit weak to me but as long as it holds that's perfect. The bearings that the wheel can spin 360 degrees on seem to be decent but, as with most things if it's not greased from time to time (and they likely won't be) they will freeze up fairly quick. Over all this is a decent replacement for your scaffolding to make them mobile but, only if you are on a flat surface other wise I'm not sure I would trust the locks with a great deal of weight on them. There is no height adjustment built into these incase your surface is not flat but you should not use wheels in this case for leveling anyway. I would purchase these again.
