Sad they’re being discontinued…
Grandson loved putting these bugs together, setting them up on our iPhones, and then playing battling bugs. It’s sad that they’re being discontinued…

Item is discontinued, software not on android
We got these (Scarrax and Mantix) in December, 2021. It was listed as discontinued but I didn't think it would be a problem until we played with them for Christmas. The Apple Store has the app but the android store no longer does. I was able to find the apk to install but may have downloaded malware on my phone (had to reset). Surprisingly, the app does work on our older iPad (2nd generation??).The robots themselves are awesome. Well designed and relatively easy for my 10 y/o to construct. They move quickly and easily. The app has achievements for play (distance, run time, etc) and allows people with another kamigami to play together (with a separate device). We had 4 kamigamis playing today though I'm not sure if they were all on an interacting mode.If you are ok with the product not being supported anymore and you have an Apple product (or know how to install an apk on your android without malware), then these will work. At $15-20 each for the discontinued product, these are better than most of the other robots out there at similar price point.

Fun little toy
This was a Christmas gift and both my kids (7 and 4). The assembly is somewhat tricky and it is pretty annoying that it doesn't come with assembly instructions. You have to download the app to a compatible device before you can start assembly, I wasn't even able to find the instructions on the website. I understand that you can't control this robot without a device but I should at least be able to assemble it. At the time we assembled it I only had a phone and the screen isn't really conducive to looking at the pictures where you need to pay close attention to the orientation and folding of parts. My son (7 years old) and my daughter (soon to be 5) love this robot. So much so that my daughter has asked for one for her upcoming birthday in January. They are really excited to try the battle and laser tag modes with multiple robots.

Too much fun
This is the second Kamigami Robot I have purchased. The first one was a gift and then I had to have one. I know that it is a child's toy....I am 58 years old. I lack the dexterity to assemble the robot but once that was done I have had a blast with it. The coding is fun and the result is entertaining. The person I bought the other one for and I played in the Tag and Battle mode which is challenging and exciting. Lots of laughs and this is one of the most durable remotely controlled pieces of electronics I have ever seen. I am in no way a toy person but the Mantix is versatile that it keeps my interest. I would recommend this for anybody. Best use of my smartphone yet.

Great robot with fun controls and features.
Overall I think this could be one of the hottest toys for Christmas 2019 if it catches on. Quality of the robot it way ahead of the other toys that just bounce around. Rechargeable battery seems great so far and way better then the little ones the other smaller robots you find at the store use. Having a phone or table to control it could be only draw back because not every kid has one most people buying this kind of toy would. Have not done two at the same time yet as waiting to give him the rest for Christmas. ( hope I can wait that long). Been telling all the guys at work about this toy for thier kids or for gifts.

Too late to buy this awesome toy
We got several of these a couple of years ago and they are so much fun. But alas, the company has vanished, the toy has been discontinued, and most importantly, THE REQUIRED APP IS GONE.*If* you're tech savvy, you could buy the Kamigamis (here, or I found them cheaper at that place that rhymes with TallBart), and sideload the .apk for the 2017 version of the app on an old phone that hasn't updated its OS in the last 2-3 years. The app won't run on Android or iOS that's been updated since ~2018.If you succeed, you'll be in for a world of fun with fast, light up, battling, dancing robot bugs! Great for kids age 5 and up; little ones might need help with assembly.

This thing is wicked cool
Oh man, this thing is wicked cool. Bought for my 8 year old sister who LOVES bugs and she has been playing with it for a solid two days. It's a little complicated to put together, so as the adult I did most of the building, but the instructions are via the app and there are videos and the steps are very clear. The robot itself is super neat, runs, dances, has lights/sounds! It's rather fast too! And the mechanics really make it look like a bug with the way the legs are springy and operate. We absolutely love this thing, so worth the price and will probably be purchasing another in a different style!

Worth it
This was a fun little gift to some building and tech oriented kids. (Ages 6 & 8) I didn't pay much for them (approx $10) and I feel like that was a good bargain for what we got.Required some assist from adult for building but was pretty straightforward.Does require use of phone to play wth though so not a great toy if the person receiving doesn't have one or you don't want to relinquish yours.

Very cool!
Bought it for my 6 year old grandson. His dad helped him assemble it. They both loved it and said it needs another one to battle!
