This seems like a very good product. Very sturdy and will last a long time. However, the dimensions given are the exterior dimensions which is not clearly stated anywhere in the description. I measured my pipe width and it came to 27 inches. When the 28 inch wide insulator came, it was about an inch too short and would not fit. I am going to reorder this item in a larger size. Just a little frustrating that I now have to deal with a return since I do not live close to town so it is a chore to go out to the UPS store for return. But I look forward to returning the small one and getting the new larger size one as it does appear to be a very well constructed item.

This is a quick, easy and convenient way to protect back flow preventers from freezing. The last few days in south Texas have seen below freezing temps for several consecutive nights.... not normal for this place. Frozen pipes would have been a disaster. I hate wrapping these things with towels, plastic, or whatever else I have laying around. Those days are gone thankfully. Pipes do have a foam wrap, but that would have bot been enough. This did a great job!The velcro along the bottom helps keep out cold air. You can also use large binder clips to keep the bottom edge closed. It appears to be very sturdily built with several layers of different fit-for-purpose insulating materials. It should last for years. It's available in a few colors, so it can blend in with bushes, or the sides of your home. I chose black which absorbs sunlight and may help further warm it up during daylight hours.. These are available in various sizes too. It did cost more than some others, but once I got it in my hands, I knew why it cost what it did.

Almost too nice to put outside. The product is made out of a synthetic canvas material that looks like it will last for years. It looks sort of like Gortex. Easy to install and even comes with some small zip ties to really cinch it closed. But Velcro type closure in the bottom of the bag should suffice. Thanks.PS- Gortex and Velcro are brand names. Please don't sue me.
