When the room is unoccupied, the energyEGG switches off appliances connected to the adaptor. The energyEGG comes with a timer delay feature. The dial is located at the bottom of the unit and allows you to set it between 5 and 30 minutes, which means it won't turn off your appliances straight away if you don't want it to--handy if you just went away to make a cup of tea. Also, with the press of one convenient button the energyEGG lets you wirelessly switch on or off appliances in a room or around your home that are connected to the energyEGG, which also means those hard to reach sockets will no longer be a problem as you can also control them remotely. As well as control adaptors, smart light switches can also be bought for the energyEGG. This allows you to connect your home's lighting to your home's energyEGG network, as well as electrical appliances.
