Soldering Iron Tip Cleaner Brass Wire Ball with Base Holder

Does what is says on the tin and cleans your iron prior to soldering. Has a nice heavy base so stays still on the bench. Well pleased.

Its a soldering iron tip cleaner. Its not a replacement for a sponge, but works very well together with one. Get this and a sponge and your soldering iron will be happy.

The item is exactly as stated and cleans the soldering tips but it not all it was made out to be, the base of the item should have been made with a sort of fixation to assist with the job at hand especially when you are soldering.

Good sturdy product

Excellent well made product. I added some extra weight in the base to stop it moving around on the bench. Cleans the soldering tips perfectly.

Excellent much better than a damp sponge

I clean my tip in this regularly. It polishes the tip really well. Sometimes, I like to flux my tip before shoving it back and forth in this to give my tip a nice shine.

But if you are not careful and there is a fair bit of solder on the tip of the iron, the coils are quite springy and can send little bits of solder flying as you wipe the tip. Though if you dug it in to the coils you might avoid the problem.

Personalmente he acabado utilizando esponja humeda para evitar ralladas y limpiar el cautin, pero para lo que sirve esto va bien, recoge bien el estaño sobrante y no se sale la esponja, pero sigo recomendando no utilizar si quieres alargar la vida de tus puntas y si utilizas flux te vale la pena ir limpiando la punta.

Il contenitore è buono, con piedini di gomma che evitano di farlo scivolare se ad esempio appoggiato sulla stazione saldante. Il "detergente" è nella media, per il prezzo di acquisto fa il suo lavoro senza doversi lamentare.

Vraiment très très utile. Je l'utilise régulièrement et il fait vraiment bien le boulot.
