The concrete screws are fine. The light plastic box broke during shipment but what ever. Drivers fault or the packing in the boubble wrap envolope more at fault. It's not a case made to last, more to just get it too you. The drill bit looked like the one you get with the name brand that has a flat spot on the end to fit into adapters. I tossed it with a pile of bits so I'm not sure if I used the one that came with it. More often I use a different size and / or SDS bit. IMO bitss that come in a box is just an extra in case you forgot to get one, lost, wore out, or broke you others. Who would expect a common hammer drill bit to last 100 holes? Not realistic. Anchoring in concrete no matter the type or brand is a skill. Years ago before cordless took over we would set Tapcons with a corded drill that had a keyed chuck and no clutch. There was about a millisecond between tight, twist your wrist, or broke.

Yeah. These screws work well once the hole size is the correct.

A great example of a company trying to go the extra mile, but creating problems while doing so. The drill bit included will bend (if not melt outright) if you rely on it. The anchors are top-notch. Very strong age good quality. But, the drill bit is subpar and of a much lower quality. Make sure you get a separate bit that works with a drill meant for concrete.

This is the first time I tried to use Tapcon-type concrete screws and I was amazed how easily they screwed right into my concrete block wall. I used a small Black and Decker battery operated drill to do it and there was no strain or effort required. I drilled pilot holes first, using my DeWalt masonry drill bit and it was essential to do that. There is a masonry drill bit included with the screws but it looked like it wouldn't last long so I used my DeWalt bit but maybe the free one is better than I thought. I tried to make the final turns with a screwdriver and it was a lot harder, so maybe the key is to use a drill. Whatever, I certainly recommend these screws and would buy more if I need them.

These are great concrete screws but over time they will rust off and break ....I use them all the time and for most jobs outside....I do like Stainless Steel better for anything outside that will get wet...
