My son used this for his 5th grade talent show. His trick went great. The directions were simple. One part of the thing broke during practice and use but the company has already included a replacement plastic piece in the original package so it was not an issue. Easy to learn. Fun trick.

Although it says this is a 2pc, only 1 spoon comes prepared to bend. The other one is still intact. You can definitely take a tool to it in order to have 2 functioning bending spoons for your act, but I had rather hoped that it would not involve opening my literal toolbox.

Broke the first one in fewer thamn 2 minutes. The 2nd one gave my right arm a good workout for about 5 minutes. All I'm left with is a bent spoon and cannot straighten it out. oh well - as PT Barnum said.....

Product arrives with two spoons... one already bent and the other spoon cut in half at the bend point and re-attached by inserting the two pieces into a small piece of plastic tubing. When you hold the cut spoon at the plastic tubing, a little pressure will cause the spoon to bend. Then somehow you have to do a switch (put the "bent spoon" in a pocket or apron), and when asked to see the spoon you can pass around the real, pre-bent spoon to show the "magic." The problem is none of these instructions are easy to find. The instructions are printed in another language and a QR code directs you to a website that is also in another language. We're keeping the purchase because of the small $10 cost and the joy our 5-year old grandson gets doing the trick in front of family (over and over again :-). You probably could buy 2 identical spoons at a dollar store and a piece of clear plastic tubing at the hardware store and have a lifetime supply of materials to do the trick. Any spoon can easily be cut at the thin point with a wire cutter. That said, if you don't mind the cost markup and can figure out your own way of presenting the trick, it's an easy way to get the materials delivered quickly and already assembled. Note to seller- have a video or written instructions done in better English. The translation on the insert is very poor.

The QR code that they provide is to a video of a man explaining how to use the spoons in Chinese. I think he was speaking Chinese, I don't want to be disrespectful.

This is a neat illusion kit that I haven’t seen before! I know my grandson will get a kick out of perfecting his presentation of this illusion. The QR code in the package takes you to videos (including one translated to English) to explain how to perform the illusion using the spoons. The concept is simple, but like any illusion, it will take practice to make it believable.
