10 PCS Metal 4×4 Post Base Post Base Brackets,Inner Size 3.5"x3.5"

Heavy duty metal- great fit on the 4x4- glad I went with these instead of the pricey ones at the big box store!

Good fit to 4x4 posts, solid method for anchoring to a deck, provided underlying structure is adequate.

Been installed for a year and no rust have held up well to a wet winter and warm summer. They are a great value and fit exactly like they said. I did not use the screws as I was putting on a wood deck but they looked good.

I know these are meant for vertical posts, but I'm using them as post brackets for my deck railing. I have fourteen 4x4 cedar posts that I'm going to use for my deck railing. I was looking for post brackets and ordered these. They are nice looking and appear very solid. I was somewhat disappointed that most of my posts don't fit in the bracket. I had to use an angle grinder, sander and wood file to adapt the posts to fit (see video). This created a lot more work for me when I thought I was almost done with my project. The inside diameter of these is 3.5 inches...the same size as 4x4 posts, so they won't fit in without alteration. I've seen other brackets meant for 4x4 posts with the inner diameter of 3.7 inches which would have been the ideal size so the posts fit in as-is (I didn't like the way they looked, so didn't order them) Other than that, I am pleased so far. I've seen some other reviews on these rusting right away, but because I'm using them horizontally, I'm hoping water would run off instead of collecting on the base. Time will tell.

Easy to install on the deck, but these do not fit 4x4 posts bought from Home Depot or Lowes. The opening is much smaller. We had sand off about 1/16th of an inch on each side of the 4x4 to get it to slide in. Plan on extra work to get the post in or sending them back. Look exactly as they do in the picture and great when complete.

Great product with a modern look. Very sturdy and my 4x4’s fit tight in the 3.5” opening. Definitely would buy these again, quality for a good price.

These are not for 4x4 post they will not fit had to trim my 4x4 post with my table saw

Bought 3xs now. I appreciate that set comes with the lag bolts and inserts. The screw bolts for attaching lumber ore too short so use fence screws for that.

Didn't even have time to install them, they were already rusted all along the welds and close to the holes after spending 24 hours outside with a little rain. I returned them and got another brand...fingers crossed.
