Great for the price
I bought these for occasional climbing jobs. They're perfect for my purpose.Sizing is an issue with all chainsaw trousers, often needing a size or two bigger. I always wear 36W 34L jeans which are just slightly loose on me. I got these Oregons in XL and they're OK, maybe a bit too loose. A belt will hold them but the waist bunches up on me so I've bought braces.I prefer them a bit loose for climbing but I could easily wear these XL over jeans or trackies. They are also longer fitting than the measurements suggest. I could have easily taken the L.Quality wise they're alright. Very good for the price but not heavy duty by any means. Very nice material to wear, could be worn all day by any worker. I definitely wouldn't trust them to stop my 4hp saw but ideal for the top handle I think. What they are not is heavy duty protection but they aren't advertised as such. I'm sure the reports of being damaged by brambles etc could be right. I wouldn't use them for that kind of work.Velcro pockets are a bit annoying too.All in all, I'd definitely buy again for what I want them for.

Braces are a must
Haven't had to test these against the saw chain but they fit well. The pockets are deep enough for a phone. Velcro a bit annoying but nothing terrible.Braces make these very very comfy.Hot but that's to expect with the padded layers. Can kneel in damp conditions and they offer sufficient protection.Would happily purchase again

NOT type C
Ordered a medium size, fits perfectly. I'm 32w32l. Comfortable and lightweight. Probably go to need braces or I shall be forever pulling them up. They were described as Type C all round protection but are actually Type A front protection. Not an issue for me as I only use a saw on the ground.

Good value
Hopefully I will never have to report on how well they work as that means I have had an accident!I can say they arrived on time, well made and they fit. There are lots of reviews on sizing so I will just say I am a medium, I ordered a medium and they fit perfectly.Hot to work in on a warm day but, as they are made of several layers, that should not be a surprise.Value for money.

OK but not amazing
This is my first pair of chainsaw trousers after using saws too long without them processing fire wood.Good points: comfortable (especially with the braces), breathable and light. They'll be good year round and shouldn't get too hot.Bad points: material clicks really, really easily. First wear of a couple of hours ans the bottoms look terrible already. Pockets are poor. Rear pocket has a flap the waist Pockets have really rigid velcro fastenings so you spread the back of your hand as you go into the pocket EVERY SINGLE TIME. Flaps would have been good there too!If you get these, spend the extra tenner and get the button on braces. First time wearing trousers with braces and now see why grandad wore them with everything.Overall, they're alright.

Excellent chaps but need a belt
Very good fit and comfortable. Bit heavy and hot but that’s inevitable because of the protective fibre. They are very high waisted, maybe 10cm higher than normal trousers, but that’s a good thing because it makes it easier to wear with a belt to hold all that weight up. I bought an infinitely adjustable webbing-type belt with a quick release catch which worked well.

Seem very robust and imbue a sense of certainty of PPE protection
Not had to put to the ultimate test thankfully but they are super comfortable- take your usual size for a comfortable fit ( with braces for certainty)Not yet washed them but seem to be well made so am hoping they will last the dirtiness of chainsawing and the need to clean them from time to time.
