Great piece of gear
The Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Bag is an essential piece of gear for anyone who enjoys outdoor adventures, particularly those that involve water-based activities like kayaking, canoeing, hiking, or camping. After using this dry bag for several trips, I’m thoroughly impressed with its performance, durability, and versatility. Below is a detailed review of my experience with this product. First Impressions and Design The first thing I noticed about the Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Bag is how compact and lightweight it is. Even though it’s a dry bag, it doesn’t add much bulk to your gear, which makes it perfect for those looking to minimize weight. The bag is constructed with lightweight, durable fabric (especially the TPU laminated nylon), which feels sturdy and capable of withstanding outdoor conditions without adding unnecessary weight. The bag features a roll-top closure system that ensures a tight, waterproof seal. This design is not only easy to use but also allows you to adjust the bag’s size depending on how much gear you need to store. The top closure is reinforced with a double strip of Velcro, making it even more secure, and there’s a small D-ring for attaching the bag to your kayak or backpack. The bag comes in several sizes, but I opted for the 20L version, which seems to offer the perfect balance between carrying capacity and portability for my needs. Durability and Material One of the standout features of this dry bag is its durability. Despite its lightweight nature, the fabric feels tough and resilient. The TPU laminated nylon material is designed to resist abrasions and tears, which is essential when you’re out in rugged environments. Over the course of several hiking and paddling trips, I’ve been impressed with how well it holds up to scrapes, sharp rocks, and wet conditions. I’ve also found that it performs well in both wet and dry environments. Whether it’s being used in rainy weather, splashing through streams, or exposed to the elements during camping, the dry bag kept my gear protected from water and moisture. The waterproofing is top-notch, and I haven’t had any issues with the bag leaking or soaking through in the time I’ve been using it. Waterproofness Of course, the main reason you’d purchase a dry bag is to keep your belongings dry, and this bag delivers on that promise. The roll-top closure is incredibly effective in sealing the contents inside. I’ve tested it multiple times by submerging the bag in water (at varying depths), and on each occasion, my items remained completely dry. This bag isn’t just resistant to splashes — it is designed to handle full immersion, making it perfect for kayaking or canoeing trips. Whether it’s storing electronics, clothes, or food, you can trust that this bag will keep everything dry, which is essential when you’re relying on it for your gear in wet conditions. Capacity and Versatility The 20L size is ideal for storing clothing, a camera, a small tent, or electronics, and it’s been large enough for a variety of trips. I’ve used it for weekend camping trips, and it comfortably fits my clothes, sleeping bag, and a few small gadgets. The bag expands easily when you roll it to close it, giving you flexibility depending on how much you’re packing. I also love the fact that it’s not bulky, so it easily fits into the side of my kayak or backpack without taking up too much space. Another benefit of the bag’s versatile design is that it’s not just good for outdoor adventures — it’s also great for traveling. I used it on a recent trip to a tropical destination where I had to cross rivers and hike through wet terrain. The dry bag was perfect for protecting my passport, wallet, and phone while keeping everything organized and easy to access. Ease of Use I’ve found this dry bag incredibly easy to use. The roll-top closure works intuitively and quickly. The bag opens and closes easily, even with one hand, which is a huge plus when you’re on the go. There’s no fumbling around trying to seal it — the Velcro closure and roll-down system are smooth and reliable every time. Additionally, the D-ring attachment allows for easy clipping to other gear, such as my kayak or hiking backpack. It’s a simple feature but incredibly useful for keeping the bag secured to my equipment. The bag is also lightweight enough that it doesn’t feel cumbersome, even when it’s packed with gear, and the soft fabric makes it easier to stuff into tight spaces. Lightweight and Compact Despite its durability and spaciousness, the Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Bag is remarkably lightweight. When packed, it’s easy to carry, and I appreciate how minimalist it is. The bag packs down to a compact size, so it doesn’t take up much room in my larger pack or storage areas, and I can store it easily when not in use. This makes it ideal for multi-sport activities, especially if you need to travel light but still require reliable storage for your essentials. Conclusion Overall, the Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Bag is an exceptional product for anyone who needs a reliable, waterproof storage solution for outdoor adventures. Its lightweight design, durability, and easy-to-use closure system make it a standout choice for hiking, kayaking, camping, and even travel. The bag performs exceptionally well at keeping your gear dry in a variety of wet conditions, and the TPU laminated nylon fabric ensures it holds up even under frequent use. If you’re looking for a versatile, durable, and affordable dry bag, I highly recommend the Sea to Summit Lightweight Dry Bag. Whether you’re venturing into the wilderness, paddling across lakes, or just need a waterproof bag for your travel gear, this bag is sure to serve you well. I’ve been consistently impressed by its performance and reliability, and it’s quickly become an indispensable part of my outdoor gear collection.

Best dry bag I’ve used
I take this thing to every field event I go to (in the military) and it has never failed me. It’s rugged, easy to close and compress and has always kept my items dry even during torrential downpours. It’s very lightweight and makes compressing clothing or other items easy. Can’t recommend it enough

well made and loved the big size.
love this really big bag. Worked on our backpacking trip to the wind rivers to hold our food in the tree every night. It's well made and waterproof. worked really well for us.

A good, light drybag.
I bought this for the sole purpose of hauling a 330 foot rope through wet canyons so my 9-12 pound rope did not turn into a 20-pound rope in a 20-pound bag of water (ask me how I know). This bag kept our big rope completely dry through Heaps Canyon in Zion - which, if you know canyoning, represents sort of a worst-case scenario for what might happen to your dry bag. That said, this is not as durable as NRS or other dry bags that tend to be heavier. If you're going to use it, I'd suggest keeping it in a pack, on top of your kayak, or otherwise at least slightly protected. Would I buy again? Yes. I'll keep using my NRS and other bags when I'm yaking, but for something I'm going to stuff in a backpack, this is amazing. Would recommend.

Great lightweight bag
Great waterproof bag, love how lightweight it is. Maybe not as durable as some of the heftier bags? But I like having this one as an option because it packs much smaller and lighter so easier to take on vacations or stash in a day pack.

Exactly what you need for any water activity. And could be a great diaper wet bag too!
Perfect and I mean perfect size. The color is vibrant and no way I am losing this if I dump my kayak. 😂 Waterproof through and through and a genius and simple design. The quality is stellar and it works well - just as intended. I would buy these 100x more and also plan on giving them as gifts! I could also see this being used as a really awesome diaper wet bag.

The best dry bag out there!
I bought this to go on the boat with it holds just about my cell phone, my wallet and my keys and if there’s ever a problem and it end up in the water, it will be 100% protected. We did a little test by putting a tissue in it and then submerging it in the bathtub. Well an hour later the tissues were still dry! I give it 10 stars if I could.

Works and lightweight for travel
Mostly used to keep electronics dry in rain and high humidity- I found the bag moist or slightly wet inside after leaving it out overnight partially exposed in rain, it's rated at 2000mm waterhead (I don't know a lot about that rating scale but it's a lower rating than other heavy duty sea to summit bags) so maybe that is the way it is intended to function in terms of saturation point. So after 2 days of high humidity and intermittent heavy rainfall, with some coverage but also getting directly rained on, it would be damp inside but not full of water, pretty good. The size and lightweight construction is great for travel. I line it with a garbage bag to add extra waterproofing to gear, and that works well. this is the limit for what I can use for electronics, it was nice to have the portability but I will stick to my higher waterhead rated dry bags for heavy rain in the future, and keep this one for less exposed waterproofing, like clothes in my pack, etc.
