It pushes the air UP to the bottom of the laptop. The air you feel is REFLECTED air from the bottom surface of the laptop! Quick test... Take the laptop away and put your FACE close to the fan. What do you feel? **Q: is it very loud?** A: Not to me it isn't. I can barely hear it. My laptop fan is louder, and the Logitech I had previouslly whirrs extremely loud at a high pitch and has a teeny fan. I like this one because the fan blades are clear plastic and since they are larger, the pitch is lower frequency. **Q: Is it works for 15 inch laptop? Although it says that it supports from 10-17 inch, we know that's impossible.The dimension seems only support up to 14** A: I don't know what these people are talking about, actually. I just got one and it's exactly the same size width wise as my Acer Aspire 5830TG... which is a 15 inch laptop. A 17 inch laptop would hang off the sides of this thing. I'm already considering asking for my money back, but will at least test it to see if it works. **Q: have anyone try to open it to clean its inside? Is it easy to open it?** A: A few screws to open. But it's junk. Cheap, thin plastic case. Mine broke right away.
